Loving your FD. It looks really nice. I might drop out there this Friday in the FD.

Honestly though, I lived in Vancouver for one winter when I was 13. The main reason why I was there for a whole winter was because we couldn't leave the damn house because there was a damn blizzard. It was around -30 and like 2 feet of snow outside. The cold that we have in Virginia is nothing. I was at Starbucks with a track jacket on, hahaha.

 

I had to sell it, trying to get it back I miss it bad. Im just wanting to get out and see what other fds are out here, I should have it back in a couple of months though. It is currently in michigan right now and you know hes not taking it out much in that weather.

 

hahaha probably not. How much do you know about the FDs in terms of rebuilding engines? =]

Also, mechanical prowess?

 

As in his engine needs to be rebuilt and he needs help...

 

Sorry, not a lot of hands on as far as internals go but everything ealse Im pretty savvy on. I have done all the work to mine except internals and paint work. I would love to get my hands dirty on one again its ben a while.

Looks like I may actually get time to head on down Friday, I'll be at 40hrs for the week at end of today. So the next 2 or 3 days I can just work 8hr days.

My car isn't really the best looking, but after I finish everything mechanical I'm going to work on the body. I'm going to be working on interior while I have the engine out though. I might paint the car myself, but that might not turn out very well, but i"ll have to see, hahahaha. Here are some pictures:

Lol, I don't prefer it enough to trade straight up, however, if you can get the FC to the specs of the one in the picture (it was sold a little while ago for 7k and it was built) and look like the one in the picture, I'll trade with 5k on your end. It's a steal if you ask me ; ]

You never really can anticipate... Some of the most beautiful nights of summer and only 10 cars may show up...

 

And some of the most freezing nights like last week and around 15 cars show up. It really depends on the mood I guess, but last week as just overflowing. I might pop out there again tomorrow though. I don't know though, I would have to see first.

 

I'll be there for sure, I should have the 949 Racing chassis braces in the Miata by then if everything goes well

I may drop in also tonight, I used to show at 7pm but most dont come till closer to 8pm. Not sure which I will drive if I go, I live like 1 mile away but I am always to lazy to show. If I go I will either bring my z32 or the companies 09 rx8, the rx8 is filthy......its a matter of whether or not I remember its tonight 8pm rolls around. If I can get a coworker to roll with me.

LOL, I was the one that brought you guys up. Do you guys do work outside of work? Like side jobs? =]

 

Well I dont have the tools or a stand to do anything, I can always ask a coworker if he is interested, he was a Nissan mechanic before now and is working on getting his master technician certification now.....not that that training even applies to rotary engines....but I dont know if he wants to do side jobs anymore. If I had the tools I would probably down for work but I left any tools I had in california when I moved here. Tell me what you want done I will run it by him. We haven't been trained on rx7's but its pretty much the same concept outside of a few bolts/studs being in different places.

I probably wont come out tonight, being married sorta changes your plans unfortunately but when weather gets nice I will be out there a few times.

 

Sigh... I got outta work late and have to work again early tomorrow morning... So I didn't come... obviously...

I wished I went, marriad life haha, I toyed with the company car this morning at work and tried my new camera out some. I swear I have not seen a FD since I left cali a year ago, I need to get out more.
