Want to get: Dead V8 or V6, Unrebuildable, any type
Anyone got a dead engine laying about that they can't/don't want to rebuild? Preferably Aluminum block and preferably without too many cracks or holes in the side of the block from thrown rods or whatever...
I need a coffee table.

Maybe a Japanese V6 would be a little easier to deal with...
Crank or cam shaft lamp would be cool too.

What other furnature ideas does anyone have?
I have grey furnature for my living room... Two grey leather couches, Grey TV stand, Grey TV... So aluminum or iron would go perfect with em... I already have wrought iron looking coffee and end tables, but the "iron" frame is cheap. The tempered glass tops are good.
4 banger of any type would be perfect for the end table... Boxer or inline... A stack of housings would be a little dull.

Ive got a 460 and Lincoln C6 c6 trans I can let go. It ran when I pulled it but now its siezed up. Id just need 100 for both of them, cant really let them go for free. There may be an old inline six up at the yard to ill check.

Inline won't work. Set too many drinks on one side and it'll tip.

Look at the bearing journals... Main bearing, connecting rod, connecting rod, main bearing, connecting rod, connecting rod, main bearing...
Most I've seen have a bearing between cylinders.

The bare block I can lift and move around, and yes 460 inches. Like the one in my truck except the one in my truck has been bored and stroked to 514.
Im trying to think what else we have laying around
A 1.6 chevette motor, used on as an end table once
got half of a 13b and all its manifolds laying around
A ruined Cat 3412 (wouldnt fit in your house)
Might be a couple 351W,C and a BB 351M
got some gig turbos
basically i have a truck/car graveyard at my disposel, and I can get into Abbots Wrecker yard and see what all they have.

That crankshaft is from a Type 1 aircooled VW engine.. I don't know what the gear is from though. If you want one I can probably get you a freebie that's out of spec.

That crank looks awesome. Perfect height. If it wouldnt trouble you too much, I'd appreciate.

I'm sure I can find a trashed rotor and housing. Rotary Performance of Manassas is just down the road.
