I have made a decision to return to Virginia, small problem though... I have single and no emissions. Throwing on a cat mid-pipe is no big deal but I don't have a smog pump.

How are you Va guys doing this?

 

Where are you moving to? As far as I'm aware you only need to pass emissions in the northern part of the state.

Then again, I have had my car registered in Alexandria for the past the years and it hasn't been inspected once (I wouldn't recommend that though).

 

Richmond, that would be cool if that was an issue for me.

 

Im an hour south of Richmond in Farmville. My inspection consists of "Ok honk the horn" BEEEP "Lights" "Left turn right turn" he walks to the back "brakes" Ok $15 pay the lady inside.

at the time DR side window unpluged, multiple cacks/nicks in windshield, liscense plate in window, and rear tires were slam bald.

 

The inspection is very doable as long as you find an inspector that is nice. Emissions inspection is another story. That is all electronic. If you have removed all the emissions equipment on your car your best bet will be to register and garage the car in a emission exempt county.

 

Richmond doesn't have emissions. But you will need to put in something that looks like a catalytic converter, lol.
