I made it thru with no major issues. I did lose power for 13hrs, but the storm was not near as bad as they thought it was gonna be in my area. I got lucky. My thoughts & prayers go out to those in NJ & NY because they really got hammered

South of long island is just a disaster mostly under water still. Im in the north. By me was very strong winds lost power for days.
Big pine tree fell right on my FC too. She actually survived the impact somehow only needing a new hatch the glass is kinda gone lol. She's a champ for surviving that. Hoping people are ok down on the shore line of long island.

im in jersey city. the power is slowly getting restored, im still waiting to get power in my house. there was alot of trees down, strong winds, a collapsed building or 2 some cars on fire. other then that its good. the people though, there doing worse then the hurricane. jumping people for flashlights, blowing up atm machines, looting, stealing gas out of other cars, people dying for there gas tanks that they waited 10 hours in line for. hoboken is flooded. and downtown jersey city has also seen better days.

Was afraid of my carbon fiber hood cracking from the wind since its only latched by the oem latch, and won't lock at that. All is well though. Neither my or my girlfriends car suffered any damage. They'RE in a field.

If u can make it out to forest hills there r 3 places with gas. Bring a big gas can only like a 30 to 45 min wait and bring a friend to get on line behind you

we were lucky where I live there was no outages some people closer to the water got flooded and I have some friends within 10 min. that lost power for a few days but I was lucky. I did move one of my project cars away from a dangerous tree that split and almost totaled it during the derecho storm a few months back.

Our house and cars made it through damage free, but we lost 30+ trees and haven't gotton power back yet. The power lines are such a mess by me it'll be another week before we get power back...
Glad everyone isn't doing too bad, the gas shortage blows though

Just got power back tonight
We flooded and i worked tirelessly to get my oil burner repaired and get the house cleaned out. At least i still have a house the devastation along the south shore of long island is incredible

Google image search hurricane sandy south shore long island or hurricane sandy flooding for an idea of what is going on here

Had to put my wifes car in the backyard when the water came up the driveway, luckily there is a area that is about 2' higher then the rest and the back of the house is north. Meanwhile i put her car at the shop during storms because of the trees at my house but she thought she would have to go to work Monday. Her 5 month old car got 2 dents from a falling branch.
I put my pick up on the back patio when the water came up and it only touched the tires a little bit.

My g8 was at my shop water came half a block from there and breached montauk highway on either side of my shop but we were high and dry. My rx7 was in bellmore safe and sound in its winter parking spot

made it ok throutgh it all. the water came up to the bottom of the frame rails on the seven but thats it, never made it into the car (good thing I por-15'd the underside).

We had a tree fall in the back yard and it did some damage to the wood shed but nothing major. My uncle (the rich one) didn't do so well. his beach house (OCNJ) was a total loss and his 77 vette was stored there so it is gone too. I posted a picture somewhere of his north house (in Wilmington) where a tree landed on his 85SLK, garage, and house. we took the tree down off of everything and the car seems salvageable. I am actually hoping the insurance totals the car so he will sell it to me cheap, then I will swap all my V8 parts over and sell the seven (back seats in the SLK plus its a freakin top end Mercedes).

All in all everyone made out ok here. the DE beaches were destroyed and my beach house is still there with only a water line at the stairs (house on stilts).
