Any cars on street tires at the track, or is that an overall bad idea?

 

I'm on street tires. Lots of people show up and hit the track with the same high performance summer tires they use on the street. Lots of folks with races tires/trailer queens too though.

 

It's official... blown apex seal on the rear rotor. let me know.

The corolla's on high performance street tires. RX7 was on Nitto NT01s

 

Good to know, one less thing to worry/get when doing a track day.

 

Just heard back, one is a S4 unit. Still not sure about the other one.

 

I made a video compilation of the weekend but it's boring so I'm not uploading it. Here's a snippet of Sunday following Mike's stupid fast Corolla. Then his brother joins in with his S2000. That car is pretty quick (almost as fast as a FWD) but looks a little squirrely. What's his setup?

that looks like the session when I was having brake issues . I swapped my front pads after that

My brother had just swapped on some race valved koni coilovers onto his s2000, but they were sprung to be used with a huge front bar and no rear bar... and he still had stock bars on it (which includes a fairly large rear bar). His handling was exciting to put it lightly... He definitely had some moments in front of me too

 

This looks like a good time. I want to go next time. Sorry to hear about the engine. It's the breaks.
