Hi all

im possibly cruising on down to NYC in the spring a couple days prior to DGRR, being an hour outside of buffalo NY im pretty close by but have never been, always wanted to go and see what the hype is about. however i will be taking my pride and joy and that being said i would want the most worry free stay possible.

so i was wondering if you fellow NY rotor heads would know of a decent hotel to stay at with safe parking/ underground parking while being somewhat close to the downtown core( touristy areas )

also would be great to meet some new ppl and fellow rotary lovers and maybe even do a cruise around the town and see some sites and sounds that i wouldnt get from exploring on my own.

any recommendations, advice or help would be awesome and greatly appreciated

The Brooklyn Marriot in downtown Brooklyn NY...minutes from manhatten, reasonable rates and underground parking.

Is a very nice place they have parking idk if it underground its just a few blocks from the 59th street bridge to get into the city I have stayed there with girls a few times never upset with the place great view of the city also from ur room

Seconded. The Marriott in Downtown Brooklyn is not only safe but close to manhattan. There is a bunch of underground parking in that area too - I'm sure if you google mapped the vicinity you can probably find some good overnight rates.

 

thanks guys! marriott has some pretty decent rates as well as a couple other places near manhatten, lots of time before DGRR so keep the suggestions coming.

also for cruise ideas too if anyone would be up for it and is close by manhatten so its not to out of there way

 

It's not really cruising in Manhattan, more like waiting in line to get to your destination.
I'll third the Brooklyn Marriott, it's a safe location because it's right across the street from all the courts.
