Stupid CT speeding ticket......

I got tagged yesterday for a 41 in a 25, convieniently 16 mph over, with a fine of $149. I'd like to fight it and did some research. I believe CT street laws are presumed speed limit laws, so that's a plus. I'm wondering if I should get a lawyer or not, and if I should, if anyone knows a good lawyer. My defense will be that I was following another car at a reasonable speed, he made the light, and I stopped and that's when I got pulled over.

I just looked at the speeding ticket again, and the officer wrote 25 in the actual speed and 41 in the posted limit.......I wonder if I can use that.

That sounds more like an excuse rather than a defense. I wouldn't bother with a lawyer. . Judges are more lenient towards honesty than excuses.

I'd call and consult a lawyer on that.
