i have another car but.. i absotivalutely loooove my fc... and its in it's "empty canvas" state ryt now.. such a better ride than my altima .. i cnt wait to see other car passionate people.. who r also fluent in car..lol

is anyone one meeting in the city b4 crossing over to NJ

 

I believe we are trying to meet somewhere in Queens to then leave to NJ. No location or time has been noted yet. Although the roll out from NJ (Brookdale Rest stop) is at 7:00AM, and based on Google Maps it should take us about 40min to get there (up to 1hr 30min with traffic but it's a sunday so i wouldn't worry about traffic). So i'm assuming we'd have to leave NY by 6AM.

For those who would like to meet up in Queens, does anyone has a meet up spot mind? I'd say Astoria Park, and we all line up by the water. There's definitely enough space for a large group and its under the Tri-Borough Bridge so we can hop on the highway right from there.

Options and opinions are always welcome.

FOR ANYONE COMING FROM THE HUSON RIVER AREA

The meeting location for the Hudson Valley Caravan is the Newburgh Mall by McDonalds @ 5:30 AM SHARP. We are leaving at 5:40AM SHARP. If you are not there, we are leaving you. The first stop is the brookdale rest stop and that is about 1:10 away. Please confirm if you're in or not, so I know who to expect. I will be in the green Supra.

question on the rest stops. are the rest stops like Brookdale Rest stop and Cheesequake Rest stop are they gas stations or on the side of the road? Cause google maps isn't telling me jack.

 

they are legit rest stops with food, drink, gas, lounging, ect. All fo them are. I would just advise against getting food, and get gas instead because we are on a tight schedule this year

 

pardon me for sounding like a noob.. but where exactly are the rest stops?.. im in newark nj and im trying to figure where to be on sunday

 

You're passed the first rest stop since 153 is up north more by me.

But exit 123 on the GSP is EASY.

You will encounter a bridge. You will notice this bridge because its WIDE. Like 6-7 lanes wide because it joins 2 highways into that bridge lol.

After the bridge are a set of tolls.

After the tolls, bear to your LEFT. Because the cheesequake exit (123) is on the left lane side. You have to be on your far left lane to make that rest stop exit.

I would say about 1 mile, maybe 1/2 mile after the toll booths at exit 123. Thats cheesequake exit.
