Smile

thanks to everyone, car version 2 and steve kan for their help.

i would loved to have dynoed, but car version 2 was getting way too tired

so a street tune was done

i did manage to make it home, my car runs way better. No more idling at 2800

steve believes i'm putting down 250 to the wheels with my stock turbo with a non ported waste gate.

but with some frustration, cuts, and energy, we all got my car running and tuned...

thanks once again everyone

Welp. We ended up not dynoing the fc. There was screw sticking out of one of the rear rotors...so the dyno couldnt be hooked up because it wouldnt sit flush and ruin Car versions Dyno. So we street tuned..and the car pulls damn good. against a 350hp gt40r fd on low boost...12psi he wouldnt pull on us until our boost trailed off at 6k from 12psi -> 8psi...Brian is VERY happy with the car and asked me to say a BIG thank you to steve for making the car run absolutly flawless...And we owe another HUGE thank you to dan and charlie (scrub and stokedxiv...did i spell that right?) for taking time out of there lives to work on this car...constantly searching..taking the time to do everything PERFECTLY. Dan is a very stand up guy...called me right away to tell me if something was wrong...stayed very late nights away from his awesome girlfriend jess...just to get this car finished in time for this tuning session...the car is awesome..brian has owned it for a year and a half..and has driven it only 400 miles...because of problems that kept coming up..due to the past owner. Dan made the car run amazing with the microtech installed...hid everything...charlie did an awesome job with the suspension and custom mounting of the the microtech..it looks awesome man! lol. Overall brian is very happy with the car..it is quick as hell...So big thanks to steve..and a huge thanks to dan and charlie. And steve said the car is close to 300whp

Stop kissing our asses, Alex haha. Glad to see the FC pulling strong. Let me know what you want to do about the interior piece - either find one on the forum or the salvage yard

yes, I wanted to send a big shout out to James and Jay at CarVersion 2 in Wilmingotn, DE. Awesome guys, beautiful shop, great service, and fun to shoot the bull with on cars.

Also tanks to Scrub (Dan) for setting this up as well as topping off a few thins with my car before the tune.

Finally, big thanks to Steve Kan (pluto), fantastic tune, and also a great guy todeal with, ask questions, and joke with.

good to meet everyone else at the meet (sorry Scott for your dyno vids, I said I was a camera 'tard )

Great #s Bob, I knew that you'd make over 400 once you got the proper spark plugs in there. I wish I couldve made it down in person to that man, congrats

Well I'd like to thank everyone for coming out. Sorry I was running around most of the time, thats just how things usually are. Hopefully I can organize something soon and have a relaxing meet Well as always there were a few setbacks, but we worked through them and got everyone taken care of. I don't think we got home and to sleep until around 4 in the morning. It seems like everyone is happy with their tune, correct?
JLee, I think you forgot your cooler at the shop. haha, it's still there if you wanna come pick it up. I dunno if it's worth the 8 hour drive.

Max,
I'm actually working on organizing another session right now. Hopefully I can get him back in a month or two, probably two, but that'll all depend on what kind of interest I can gather.

Max_Spd, if you want to organize your own tune session I'm sure Steve would be willing to listen. The advantage of having Dan do it again is that he and Steve have a relationiship and have done 3-4 tuning sessions previously at CarVersion2, so they have a routine down. If you want another session, Steve usually requests at least 7 cars to do a session. VA isn't too far from us, Richmond is only 3 hours south down I-95. You could always get a bunch of VA guys together and cruise up Friday afternoon, share some rooms at a cheaper hotel in the area and be ready to go Saturday morning. I'm sure we could all meet up Friday for food and beers. Then drive home saturday night or sunday morning. Just a thought, I'm sure Dan will keep everyone up to date with any new sessions.

It sounds great, the reason for the VA session prefference is the fast that I cant really drive the car, I will have the mods and going single @ my house, but how do i drive??? Without a proper MAP!!!

If someone can share where i can get map from a similarly tined FD I dont mind going to DE...Its really not that far...heh

And Yes You have a good point...

Stoked is right, we've done quite a few sessions now and the tuning usually goes fairly smoothly. There are a couple hotels in the area, and I don't think it's that expensive for a room. I could probably call and see if they'd do a group rate or something.

Also, depending on what ECU you have the base map should be fine as long as you don't get into boost (more then a few psi).

Rich,
We didn't make it to AC, we woke up to late and whatever. So I ended up taking Steve and Ramy to the local shooting range. It was a good time anyway

Max, we're just talkin about a little bet we had. Apparently I'm retarded.

Man if it was driveable you should have brought your tools and come down anyway. We had more than a couple people doing work/repairs on their cars in the parking lot.

Next time we'll see ya there
