Exclamation Steve Kan dyno tuning session Nov. 18-20th

Back one more time by popular demand is the world Famous Steve Kan. This time Steve will be back for three days in a joint tuning session held at two separate facilities, to accommodate a broader area. Each day only 6-7 cars can be tuned, but I will be taking extra deposits just in case we are able to fit more cars in. Anyone who doesn't want to have their car tuned you are welcome to show and have a good time. Slots are limited so get your deposit in quick!

The first day of tuning will be located at Car Version 2 in Wilmington Delaware. Cars are welcome to begin arriving around 9:30 A.M. CV2 uses a DynoPack and pricing is $125 an hour.

Car Version 2 is located:
420 Century Blvd.
Wilmington DE, 19808
302-998-6988

C16 is available upon request for $10 a gallon

Here is what a DynoPack looks like

The second and third days of tuning will be held at Mothers Performance Inc. I'm not exactly sure what time tuning will take place on these days, but I'm guessing around 10 or so. Mothers uses a Dynojet dyno and pricing is $85 an hour.

Mothers Performance is located:
32 US Highway 46 East
Lodi, NJ 07644
973-478-0800

We may be able to get race gas upon request at mothers, I will post more on this later.

Steve’s price for tuning is set at $350 per car. I will be collecting $200 non-refundable deposits. The remaining balance is due the day of tuning. I can refund your deposit only if you find someone to take your place.
When placing a deposit please specify where you would like to be tuned. Also list mods that would affect the power output of the car and what ECU you have.

Deposits can be sent either via paypal, check or money order. If placing a deposit via paypal the total will be $206.50.

Here are a few things you should try to remember before coming.
-change spark plugs
-remember wheel locks
-change oil
-bring extra coolant
-get all the problems worked out before coming! (Cough Cough, Martin)

If you inquired about tuning in the feeler thread Martin should be PMing you shortly.

Alright now send them deposits in and reserve your spot or you will be sittin on the curb with a puss face.

-Dan

keep in mind that we are only setting this up for 6 cars per day, if you have a specific day that you need to be tuned for. please note that on here, or on the payment. this is a first deposit first serve type situation. you guys have 6 weeks to get the kinks out of your car.

Dwayne, If you could send the owner of Mothers this link for him to review that would be very helpful.

BTW, Steve, a friend, my g/f and I could possibly use a place to stay near mothers if anyone has any suggestions.

Thanks,
Dan

Doesn’t look like I have the funds for the new turbo kit/tec3. So if there’s space I’m down to spin the rollers on Sunday. But unless I can get my shaky MAP sensor readings worked out, looks like there wouldn’t be any reason for me to tune. I’m going to play with it and do a lot of data logging to see if I can get it worked out. This way we can tune it a little leaner and squeeze out some more Hp. If not ill just come to make a few pulls on the dyno

will a refund be available if we put a deposit in and cant be tuned that day due to no time left? I know this may sound stupid but I want to be very clear when it comes to money lol.

lets put it this way....if you're one of the first 6 on any of the days you're going to be tuned. If anyone after that puts a depoist down and we don't get to them then they will be refunded fully.

Payment received.

Just so everyone knows...the only way this will take place is if I get enough deposits for Steve to book the trip. So far I only have one deposit.

If we don't get enough deposits by Sunday the 23rd Steve will not be coming. In order for him to come out for 3 days I need 10 deposits. From all the interest we received in the old thread I'm supprised more people haven't put deposits in.

-Dan

BTW, the people who put down deposits, you will be refunded if we don't get enough for Steve to make it.

Dan,

I am 99% sure I will be participating on the 18th in Delaware. I just need to double check to see when my car will be done. I hope to have an answer tomorrow, and then a deposit check in the mail...

It amazes me also how fast the last thread took off, I mean it was like wild fire. Now this thread is almost as silent as my Quad for sale thread. I’m actually thinking about getting in on this one, well that’s if I can get this stupid map sensor to read clearly. Ill be able to do some testing hopefully this Friday when I get back from Jamaica. IF not ill be a spectator, ready to help with those last minute fixes. And spin the rollers for ***** and giggles

Dan did you get your GR67?, im guessing you did. Shoot me some picks id love to see any you have of it.

Sounds good everyone.

Len,
Yeah it's wierd man I have no idea. If ew get a decent amount of interest but not enough for 3 days then maybe I'll cut it back to only 2, ond day at Car V2 and one up in NJ.
