Just got back from the event.

Pretty much what I expected. Long line, people cutting, etc. I only got one run, I chose to be in an inexperienced group as it's my first event... mistake. I felt I spent more time trying not to run into the dodge avenger... yes... in front of me. I had the green FD w/ the black wheels behind me. We both fell back and tried to make some hard runs... but I too quickly kept catching the avenger and the FD me.

I'm pretty burnt out from traveling this past week so I decided to cut out early, could have gotten on the track at least once more... also again thanks to James for letting me use a helmet.

If not for the drive back home... down I95 I'd get one of their licenses for track days. I just don't think I'd go again knowing what I have to deal w/ getting back home.

Overall, had fun. Just need to keep a better look out for track days at Summit Point next year.

So, the guy w/ the FD w/ black wheels... are you up here. If so what happened to the AE86... looked like you two were together... as he was pretty quick to cut me off pulling out of his parking spot to get to the track. Sort of sucks that he couldn't make it more than a lap.

Ah, you're the one w/ the loud miata... nice car.

I didn't think it would have been *that* bad in the novice group. I'll know next time.

I also got 2 runs in, I couldve had 3 but I was dead tired.
Along the straight I got to about 110mph, the next turn was a second gear turn for me. 110 to 50mph in 1.5 sec is a rush lol.

I actually got three runs in today. People started leaving by the boat loads after my second run. Pulled around and got right back on course. Would have done a fourth round but my son was ready to go so I left at 3pm. No prob Charles I will keep you updated in 2009 on the HPDEs and Autox in the local area.

My new background on my PC till the next HPDE for 2009. Got to go on a diet and save my lunch money to start going to a HPDE. lol I had fun today! Gotta work on the car a bit more she was a little rough but once she warmed up she was good to go. More suspension tuning is a must!
