So my car was broken into last night...

Just putting this out there....i know its worked in the past..

I got home at around 3:30 in the morning last night coming back from my girlfriend's friends birthday party. we get out of the car and normally i lock it but it was already late and i was feeling too lazy to walk to the other side of the car to lock it so we just went inside. normally i leave my old iphone hooked up to play music in my car so it sat there like normal squished between the passenger seat and the console, and my girlfriend left her purse sitting up against the kick board on the passenger side. well we get up at 9 to go out and she cant find her purse...so i go uhhhh check around...but nothing. so i go out and cant find it and notice my phone is gone i live in wilmington delaware, so if anyone notices anyone with a shiny new(old) iphone lemme know! it was a 16gb 3G and my girlfriend had a small handbag.

i live right near concord high school so if anyone knows of any recent stealings around here let me know....

If the doors were unlocked, I'm not sure you can really call it a break in...... sucks to hear. In the future consider taking all valuables out of the car, or putting them in the trunk/hatch out of sight.

So you're near Naamans road Sorry to hear your car got broken into, there some semi-bad areas around there. Is your car white? I haven't seen you around.

Yup there is a meet on 202 every week at the super G parking lot I believe, but that's not Rotary specific. Just PM me if you wanna meet up one night and hang. I'll see if I can get a few of the local guys together.

Also you might wanna check out tristatetuners.com for events in the area.

They happen wed. night, but I never go. I'd rather just organize a local Rotary meet somewhere.

You're boned my friend. Apple won't help you out at all even though I'm sure they have the data to help you. Your gfs purse minus the money you might get back though. Do you have the serial number on your phone? I would also try checking craigslist in your area to see if someone is trying to sell it there. I don't know what else to tell you though.

^ My Viper arms itself regardless of locked or not.......

Most crooks will run when it goes off in a suburban area......

how hard is it to wire one of those systems up? i'd love to put powered locks in my car but i dont know if im confident tearing my doors apart, especially with the super old plastic..

i can follow instructions, i can take things apart (like computers) and put them back together but i've never done custom work to things. if they fit into place properly i dont have any issues but modifying things is usually disastrous for me

I brought mine to an alarm place.

I asked specifically for a Viper by DEI (very solid company with great warranty)

It cost me $140 including the trunk popper.........
