Figured they'd wanna know if they don't already... Sad they are using military deployment as a front...

Hello ,
My name is Maria , and I'm emailing you about 1993 Mazda RX-7 vr that I have for sale. The car is in perfect condition,
with no need for any additional repairs. Flawless exterior/interior condition, no scratches and no dents. It has never
been involved in an accident. The mileage is 107,000, Manual transmission, red exterior and black leather interior. It
has a clear title with no loans or liens on it. The price was reduced at $3,500 as I need to sell the car before the
27 of July when I will be leaving with my platoon back to Afghanistan, so I don't want getting it old in my backyard.
If you have any other questions, or need more info, please feel free to ask.

Is this local to you? Or is the car elsewhere?

That car was just in my garage last night haha. It is local in my area, I think he wants to sell it, but it's definitely not for sale in CA or for that low of a price so yes that ad is a scam.

I found the same ad in Chicago:

1993 Mazda RX-7 vr

1st email:

Hello ,
My name is Margaret , and I'm emailing you about 1993 Mazda RX-7 vr that I have for sale. The car is in perfect condition,
with no need for any additional repairs. Flawless exterior/interior condition, no scratches and no dents. It has never

4th august when I will be leaving with my platoon back to Afghanistan, so I don't want getting it old in my backyard.
If you have any other questions, or need more info, please feel free to ask.
2nd email:

At this moment I am at the military base getting ready for Afghanistan which means that I am doing a special training and I am not allowed to get out of the unit. The car is already at the shipping company in Topeka KS sealed and ready for the shipping. My presence won't be necessary because I prearranged the deal with Amazon. The deal includes free delivery and it will arrive at your address in 3 days. You will have 5 days to test it and inspect the car prior to making any purchase and if by any reason you find something you don't like about it you can send it back at my expense. If you are interested in knowing more info about how it works, I can ask Amazon to send you an email with more information on how to purchase it. Amazon will contact you shortly after they have the details with all the information that you need to complete this deal and you will also have proof that I am covered by them and a legitimate seller. Please let me know your full name and phone number if you want to receive more information about this sale from Amazon.
Knew it was too good to be true... lol

I don't even know why they do it and not respond in time, or better yet, I want to know how they are posting the same thing in all of CL is there a way to do this? Or do you need to do one add at a time?

+1, good question.
I found this website not too long ago, it allows you to search all areas of craigslist ads, ebay ect. in one quick and easy search but i haven't checked it to see if you can post an ad to everywhere.

Yeah a website like allofcraigslist will do the search as well, but I just don't know how they can post all the adds unless they literally copied and pasted the add(which is sounds like) to each and every major city location!

Nice, easiest way for a civilian is to trace back the IP address from the e-mail, if you run a XML list to show where it originated then ping to make sure it's active and find a trace route site that will identify the area where the original IP came from! Good Luck!

Just an FYI, this is also listed on the Atlanta craigslist. I knew it was a scam off the bat, but I still emailed them. They told me it was located in Kentucky. I like to see what new creative ways these idiots come up with, but it's always the same crap. "I am in the military leaving and the transaction will be handled through ebay/amazon/etc."
