Cool man. Welcome back. I'm sorta new, have a couple FD's. What you drive?
Where did you live previous to Richmond and what brought you back? Where in Richmond are you?

 

Up until about July I had been in Tampa for the last year.
Previous to that I've been in RVA for over 15 years.
Except for a year spent in upstate NY about 3 years ago.
I've had 3 RX7's; 2 FC 's and an FD.
Saavedro (Pierce) has my black '90 RX7

Currently I'm down to a 2011 Forester (5spd, yay!), the wifes autotragic '98 Integra, and the currently in storage '90 VH style Miata.

What brought us back was much better pay, Tampa sucks in that regard if you're in the engineering field.

right now we're near Patterson and Gaskins

 

cool, there's a couple guys right close to you that are FD guys and they do a lot of car club meetings and such

 

Friday night Starbux?
VMSC or NASA autocross?
Saturday morning C&C?

also the last 2 months had been spent up in Rochester NY for training, except for the godawfull move up here from Tampa, but that another story, and it's long and bloody

 

sounds like you already have your "ear to the ground" and know then.
I never go, 3 children and a wife and church keep me busy aside from work.

 

same here but I only have two kids
and the wife doesn't mind going to Saturday morning C&C with kids in tow
I have to work some autocross back into my life once we get the new house

Also I've been on here for awhile and involved with all of the above car stuff for the better part of a decade, so a year out of town didn't totally kill my connections and what I've been following.

Sooooo I got a new to me house in the westend near Lauderdale and Patterson

before ownership pics from Zillow

 

Now I just need to build a garage, back corner of the lot I'm thinking.
The house is FULL of boxes currently.

Is there anyone around here anymore? Are there any trustworthy tuning shops in the area I could take my car to? I've hit a dead end in my build and really need a knowledgeable tuner at this point.

 

The only one around this area that will touch a rotary engine is Angel Motorsports in Newport News. I mentioned this in your other thread. Sorry man.

 

Thanks. I reached out to them but haven't heard back yet. The biggest issue is getting the car to them. I can't drive it in its current condition.

 

Did you ever figure this situation out? I MIGHT be able to use a car trailer that my boss has, if necessary.

 

No, oddly enough they never got back to me. I've been able to get the car running and have about 300 miles on it so far. It's not perfect but I have someone stopping by this week to take a look at it to see if he can get it running better for the rest of the break-in cycle. After that, dyno tuning.
