I work for a consulting engineering firm called Engineers Plus, we do alot of work with the state, Philip Morris, Wyeth, BI Chemicals and Trammel Crow. I wind doing sorta of the same upgrade work you are doing, be it electrical, mechanical, plumbing etc... We have one guy who does Rigging engineering for the BIG crane lifts, he's Norwegian and crazy but he is one pf the best 3d modellers I've seen. Him and our structural guy like to come down to watch the autoX's . They're usually smoking cigars.

Zac, the SA22C cars (79-80) are not eleigible for the Spec RX7 class. You have to build a 81-85. I guess it is that way because of the differances in the cars, and they try to make the cars as equal as possible.
This is the web site of the Spec RX7 class for the Washington DC Region. It has rules and a mail list, etc.
http://www.marrsrx7.com/
It also has a guide for building a SRX7 and some ads for cars for sale. It is worth reading over. I think some of it is a little out of date, but it should still have some useful information for you.

niburu: Nice seeing you at the unofficial Rally Sunday. I was riding in the red 325iX. The S5 car has the single piston front calipers. The S4 T2 still has the calipers.
Zach: Yea, I've been waiting on that TII to go in there forever. The guy was trying to sell the whole car, blown motor for 1500. Finally he got frustrated and donated it to the Kidney Foundation. I had offered the guy 100-200 for the aftermarket parts on the car but he wanted 500 dollars. So I got my friend to call me from there when the car was brought into the yard and processed. End result: I walked away with RB front and rear sways, SS brake lines, Tokico blues, and RB springs for 66 bucks
Greg: If I need mounting, I will let you know. Call me about that red hood if you are still interested.
RexVA7: Sent you mail about the FD wheels.
And as far as waving, I either wave or I make a rotor shape with both my hands held together.

I saw it on Woodman Road.
I was driving back from a downtown delivery of a set of plans and saw a light blue 88 S4.
As I was looking the owner came out, brief conversation, basically its got electrical problems (big surprise). He is going to decide wether he is going to keep or sell, he had the dash ALL taken apart. I'll keep an eye on it if anyone is interested.
Also before you get your hopes up, it was a SE it did have a nice set of phone dial rims though.

Damn John, sorry to hear that about your car. I wish I had the money, I'd love an FD. Thanks again for the rims - I shall put them to good use. I was wondering if you could ask your friend about the center cap, I'd really appreciate it.
Sorry again about your car - I hope things look up or you decide to repair.

REXVa7 - let me know how it goes, if I can sell my FC fast enough I'd be interested
cash + sale of FC = $6500
I'd rather see you rebuild though than give up on it, are you just sick of it at this point? Might wanna let it sit for a little bit before you decide.

Damn, that sucks. I would take the above advice and sit on the car for a while if it is indeed blown. I think selling it for 6500 would be a shame.
-edit- And out of curiousity, who tuned your pfc? Or were you just running a base map?
