They lump all non-Porsches into class X. XS is for stockers, and XM is for modified cars. So I was in XM.
I think I came in 1st in my class, and 3 rd overall out of about approx 100 cars (final results not posted yet).
The two cars that beat me were using Goodyear Eagle Racing Slicks.
So I was the fastest car on DOT tires, R compound.
One of them told me they average about 1 to 1.2 seconds faster on those slicks versus kumho v710's that I use.
I'll have to post pics later because my camera didn't work but some dude took lots of them of my car; maybe towards end of week I'll get them.
But here is a small video:

There was some serious iron there. Brand new 911 GT3 RS3; bright orange paint and michelon pilot sport cup R compounds. Beat him. A few 911 turbos. check. Good stuff and I represented well.
I usually don't race with them but I wanted one more autocross before my open track event at Pocono on May 5th. It also let me test out Hyperion's new gas tank internal bucket cover. I was under 1/2 tank and didn't experience any fuel slosh issues; previously I always had to run with full tank.

This kinda goes along with the theme of this thread. Last month at Laguna Seca, a few of us got to drive on the track with the Bay Area Porsche Club.
The FD raised a few eyebrows for sure.
I love the 'WTF-was-that?' factor that the FD has. Not too many people recognize them as Mazdas, around here at least.

my next event is Pocono May 5th
amp - don't hurt my feelings
at least it LOOKS like an rx7, right?
