I think what happened is people came later and later, and a lot of guys said "it's too late to head out now" and never bothered going. So not only did people start gathering later, less people started gathering all together. Last summer when I was still able to make it, people weren't showing up till 10:30. I'm 28 now, I work long days, I just cannot stay out/up that late like I used to.

^ agree. I have no problem seeing other types cars. As long as people aren't doing burnouts and being stupid (attracting attention), it should be fine. I'm out of the meet scene for a long time now, I don't know where they are anymore. Bellmore train station? Sears on route 107?

Well I just found out why the cops are rolling by this year. A bunch of so called drifters and Miata boys were in the area. Idiots decided to drift around a van and cops rolled up. This is why we cant have good things. Idiots like to ruin it for others.

Exactly why i stopped going to the edgewater meets A LONG TIME AGO. Even though i only went a couple times lol.

Was gonna go by tonight but too hot.

Maybe ill go next thursday. Dont think cops will pull me over since my DD is stock. lol

They still and can give tickets for exhausts and tints you know. Lots of us have one or the other or both.

Have you been there? I have and they once waited at the lot entrance hand picking cars with exhausts and tints.

Tints is illegal. You don't need to get hit with a moving violation to get nicked with that. If they wanna be ********, they can and will point you out for those when you show up and/or leave the lot.

they had another meet up that did this, was going that night and got the calls that cops were just pulling everyone over for anything.

this is different then a small group of guys hanging out and getting asked to leave, if they say leave and dont hang out here again and we show up then we are asking for it.

This is why when we go try to be respectful of the area and watch who you invite as it seems certain other cars attract certain types of crowds
