Sweet, its good to hear about so many FD's in the area, I've only seen a black fd with a license plate that reads "mad slow" and then i met a guy that works at mavis on rt 9 that has a montego blue fd.

I saw one go buy on a flat bed as well, i was like "i want that" haha.

I have the engine ready to come out and another one should be on its way this week. I'm pulling the tranny at the same time to get my 5th gear synchro checked out. So i'm thinking i'll be good to go in about 3 weeks, we should get everyone together, i've got 3 supras that would come to, and probly 3 z's. maybe we could have a bbq somewhere before the weather turns.

it was either blue or black, it was real dirty, with sand or something on it, like it was spun out on a track and into the sand. may have just been sitting for a while.

Since you guys are all modded, can you tell me what type of registration and inspection I should get for the car?
In NJ, I have collector car registration which lets me be emissions exempt (no cats), but I cant put more than 3000 miles on per year, checked every other year. But that is perfect for me. Is there something like that in NY?

I just registered my FD as a stock car. I'm in Dutchess county and inspection is just safety.

No they don't check for cats, but then again it depends on who you decide to go to.

 

I've got my new engine everyone, pineapple large streetport, 3mm rotors, dowel pinned, balanced, gotham oil filter relocation, cleaned oil and water journals.

I want to fix my 5th gear synchro as it grinds once in a while, and i might as well do it before I put it all back together. I have the piece already. is there anyone in the area that has done this before and wants to come this weekend to have a few beers and give advice? Trans-Tech quoted $425 which is insane since i would bring them just the tranny and the parts. I couldnt believe it.
