On the no instruction days there no people on track that haven't been on track before, you need an instructor for at least a few track days to truly be safe out there. When you hit the track you'll see why you need that instructor in the car with you.

Why not post a picture of how the battery is set up and I'll give some insight on if they would except it or not, hopefully others will as well because more opinions would be best. I think several organization prefer the battery to be enclosed.

The box is REALLY secure. I was trying to move the box and it wouldnt budge. The buckle strap is really holding onto the box. I know its not legally secure but do you think they would let me slide just with that??

To me that looks like it should pass with most groups. With that being said the last time I was at NJMP they had track staff doing the tech and were quite **** about every little thing which is a good thing but for a track day they were a bit serious. Also, if you shoot whichever group you are running with an email and attach that picture they would give you a for sure answer.

I still have the box lid so maybe if i install that, they might let me slide. Ill ask around when the track day draws near.

Or maybe ill just install it professionally when my roll bar comes in.

The other main thing they look at are the brakes. Before you go, you DO want that system flushed and clean, with new pads. You DON'T want brakes to fail at 120MPH do you?

I have some ebay rotors and hawk pads right now but im going to change them out this spring anyway.

Brakes work normally.

How do they check for brakes?

Why don’t you put your battery in the passenger side storage bin? This way you will have a cleaner look, more trunk space and the weight at the bottom. I used to have my battery set up just like yours. I didn’t like the idea that people could see the battery exposed. I prefer having it in the storage bin locked up.

I had it behind the driver seat before but I have jdm rear seat now.

Honestly I think its cool to have it in the hatch. Lol

Imo gives it that race car feeling. I only take it out on the weekends anyway so I don't care who sees it. Plus the rear hatch glass is tinted so you can't see unless you go up close.

They check the fluid and the pad thickness. Not something to mess around with.

I saw one guy put his caliper piston into his rotor and destroy everything. He probably had a crappy pad though for it to wear out that badly.

def good to know. Thanks man.

Im gonna change my pads and rotors once the cold weather passes and ill get those PH test looking strips for my brake fluid to see if its still good or not.

Really dont wanna touch the actual brake line cause bleeding brakes suck lol

You really should flush the system with a good brake fluid. I bleed the brakes after every track day. Use this time to replace the stock bleeders with speedbleeders, they make a world of difference.

Hmm will def look into that. Or ill just have my friend help me instead cause he bled more brakes in his time lol
