Think if I put a 10lb spring in my wastegate and put some sticky tires on, I do ok? I wouldn't push it. It would be the first time I ever turned the car....lol..

my goal is to whup on someone who has more power than me. =P

Even though all I have is street tires and stock springs....

I took a look at the East Course map and thankfully it has far more turns than North Course and the straights aren't as long......much appreciated.

Dude......you do not want to know what happened to me last weekend at North Course.......to make things short....two tows out of the track.....

awesome day even though it was a pain the ****. my belt tensioner is weak so my belt flew off and made me over heat. put it back on and still it was idling at 220. normal 180. so i did a quick and dirty fix by removing the t-stat and that fixed the issue.
finished that just in time to do the timed trials and got first place and fastest street car of the day:

http://209.177.55.37/video/poceastoct2007.wmv

i missed overall FTD (race car porsche 2200 lbs, goodyear slicks) by .5 seconds. The car has that in it but i needed a little more practice and more *****.

Great run Scott, that LS1 FD really does move around the track.

As for me, second in class finish on street tires, first in class was to a national level autocrosser with R-comps on the car, so I'm pretty happy with my results, though I do need to improve by 3 seconds in order to have any shot at taking first place in class next time. Still first trophy and pretty happy about that.

Then there was the ride home afterwards......

To make a long story short, I lost a wheel driving home on I-80 and had to get two friends to bring me two wheels so I could drive home. I'll be posting a thread about the last two weeks of ridiculous car troubles that have forced me to rethink whether or not I'll be able to continue racing.
