I've got a GSL-SE that I've got my eye on, and planning a trip to Kettering. It's 8 hours each way, but here's the kicker. I just got photos from the owner today, and the body looks gorgeous, the interior's great, but the suspension is rotting right off the car. I can pull the axle, springs, fuel filter tray and other hardware, sandblast, and paint, but I wonder what it means for the rest of the car.

The owner is in failing health and isn't able to pull the rear bins to check for rot. If anyone's near Kettering and willing to put together a short trip with a no.2 phillips, I'd really like to get a look at the rear bins. If it all works out and I come up, I'll even offer a beer-laden kickback.

Apparently, Kettering is very close to Wright/Pat and Dayton. If anyone's close, and willing to check it out, please let me know. It's just too costly to go up from GA with a trailer if I return without a deal.

I think he would want yall to take out the storage bins and take pics and look under the wheel wells. He basically asking to see how bad the rot is. if its rotting under the storage bins, that 7 is screwed... if not he can fix it up.

 

You're right, jshiz, but the trip's been called off. The seller has taken the car off the market to make some repairs. Thanks for the support, though.
