DJ. NADA in da house! VMRC NY Representing!

As you can see from the video posted by SPEED_NYC, many Mazda’s were there. VMRC took best of show, so that will make it very interesting this year now that a Mazda won last year. You know it will be very difficult to get best of show again. All the Toyoteros will be working hard to win that title and I like that. It pushes the envelope, which makes this car show even better.

This is a friendly competition we will be in a Toyota sponsored event. So let us act with respect towards each other. We all love our cars and have our own opinions, but we need to respect the opinions others hold as well. Thats what makes us individuals and interesting human beings.

Let keep moving forward towards old school unity!

Oh and VMRC will be there in full force!

I don't mean to sound like an *******, but i'd rather not have the honda, nissan, VW and 'tuner' car heads there. this is a show for mature ppl with vintage cars and those who appreciate vintage cars. it was a great show last year, PLEASE stop inviting the other forums. i would think that theres some vintage nissan guys out there who would fit in here, but i can't immagine how having any honda or VW guys would make this show a better experience, if anything it just opens the possibility for things to get worse.

I agree with SPEED_NYC, this event has a great atmosphere, besides this show is for old school cars. Old school VW's, Datsuns, etc...are ok. I forgot what the cut-off year is. We don't want people to assume that its open to new cars, but I appreciate mr.beeks for taking his time to promote it. We just have to target the old school forums.

On another note these are the categories OSTC is working on for Mazdas...

1st, 2nd, and 3rd...Best Mazda R100
1st, 2nd, and 3rd...Best Mazda RX-2
1st, 2nd, and 3rd...Best Mazda RX-3
1st, 2nd, and 3rd...Best Mazda RX-3 Wagon
1st, 2nd, and 3rd...Best Mazda RX-4
1st, 2nd, and 3rd...Best Mazda RX-7
1st, 2nd, and 3rd...Best Mazda Others - Cosmo, REPU, etc...
1st, 2nd, and 3rd...Best Rotary Turbo Setup

Best of Show Mazda

You said it and believe me that those are the ones that actually show up and will not create excuses for not showing up(coughin).

Last time I checked is an old school toyota show.
can one limit participation yes but not expectators.

Not only that u dont even know if they have an old school car hidden in the garage but like some of us become addicted to one site and not aware of other sites exsist since we dont search.

in simple words do you got to a strip bars to (explicit here) or to drink and enjoy the show?

and some of us are to lazy to search and find out there are other sites or events going on around ur area.

you know, i tried very hard to not sound like i was being an *** in my earlier post. i thought i made my point clear, while allowing for you to feel like your efforts were appreciated, but now i can't help but feel like you are giving me an attitude here.

in short, i'm sure everybody that read your post thinks you're an idiot and is wondering why you took it upon yourself to invite a bunch of ppl on COMPLETELY UNRELATED FORUMS to a car show that the members of THIS forum are invited guests of?????

you ask if one can limit "expectators" (what ever the hell that is) and my answer is YES. this is a PRIVATELY held and funded show, being held by a PRIVATE car club. the PRIVATE club that has held and organized this show for years decided last year to invite the VMRC, which is another PRIVATE club. the VMRC guys use this forum regularly to communicate with thier members and other like minded individuals (ie vintage MAZDA enthusiasts)

as INVITED GUESTS TO A PRIVATELY ORGANIZED GATHERING IT IS IRRESPONSIBLE AND JUST PLAIN STUPID OF US (yes unfortunately, you will be considered one of us) TO INVITE WHAT WOULD BE SEEN AS 'OUTSIDERS' to this event.

now before you tell me how this event is held on public property, let me remind you that it is NOT some loosely organized internet hangout... the organizers of this event have paid money and time to secure permits, insurance, music, trophies, ect for this event. if they so chose, they could sell tickets in advance to ppl of thier choosing and deny access to ppl without tickets on the day of the show.

i don't understand how you don't realize that you just potentially ruined the atmosphere and jeapordized our (mazda peoples) invitation to future events by this club.

its an unwriten rule of all car ppl that you don't seem to get, NOBODY LIKES HONDA PPL! nobody wants to bring thier nice cars to a 'honda' type event. i don't want ppl trying to sit on my ****, leaning on my ****, following me home trying to steal my ****, or even jealously eyeballing my ****! if the 'tunerz' as you put it show up, i guarantee problems will follow...

sorry to throw all honda ppl under the bus like this, but mrbeeks dosen't seem to understand sublety, so i had to make some generalizations, which i hate to do.....

any expectators agree with me ?

we were hoping that would keep us safe from having VW's, hondas, and sentras from showing up, but you're not too lazy to spread the word, are ya?

lastly, are you taking a stab at me directly here? my car may not be done, but i show up everywhere worth showing up to. i dont make excuses for my car not being done, the fact is i'm at an age where its not the most important thing in my life anymore, when my free time permits, the car will be done.

do i even know you?

When we have Rotorfest, or Rotorjam, it is NOT open to all cars. The decision for the Toyota guys to invite the Mazda crowd is thiers and one we should respect.

I did not read it as a come-one-come all event.

You said pre-1987, so logically speaking a 1988 RX7 is too new correct?

I completely agree with Roan and Rob, and VMRC guys on this matter. This is a private event being hosted by a toyota club who has affiliations with certain members in the mazda community.

The toyota club passed on this invitiation to VMRC directly and VMRC to others in the rotary community. This did not entitle you mr beeks to post it on other car forums. Its a private event hosted by private clubs not open to invitiation to other car clubs/forums.

You should apologize and recant your posts on those forums, its the only logical thing to do.

P.S Roan totally pwned your a$$ lol.

EDIT: Just added this to my calender as a reminder. I will try to show up and see the mazdas win some trophies
