CT obtaining a waiver for ct emissions

Hey everyone its almost time to get the fd back on the road. The next big obstacle will be emissions. First things first i am 90 percent sure im not going to pass my test due to my setup. I have read online in the ct emissions website if i spend up to 660$ with recipts i can be granted an emissions waiver? Has anyone ever gone through with this? If so please let me know. Thanks!

if i may be correctred the 660 is valid untill the next time you have to do emissions testing (2 years from now). i have heard a rumor of some emissions stations up near me geting rid of their dynos becvause they may be geting rid of that type of emissions test if so id be great for us. but you can drive your car if you fail emissions, it just has to pass the next time (in 2 years) or you cant re regester the car.

I passed with no air pump on the car. I threw back on my cat, ran it hot and put 2 gallons of denatured alcohol in and passed with flying colors. Filled up with premium the minute the test was done.

They have replaced the roller system and the wavier is permanent but they will test you every 2 years you just dont have to pass

If you FAIL your tags get suspended if its not corrected in the allowed time and its not 2 years

the equipment waiver is permanent not the economic hardship waiver.

idk aboutt he allowed time all i know is i went 1.5 years driving my truck after it failed got pulled over and all my tags were up to date. i dont know if things have changed but thats how it worked for me

you can get denatured alcohol at lowes, home depot etc.. personaly i have never used it but ive heard people that have and they say fill up immediatly after.
