Well the next NYRA meet is at Flushing Meadows Corona Park at 11:00am on Saturday August 11th. Tentatively scheduled at the location where we have been having the majority of the meets. The location is the second parking lot adjacent to the Grand Central Parkay (http://www.nyrotary.com/Pages/Flushi...ows%20Park.htm) as you drive around the man made lake.

I will be looking for alternate spots that provide more shade and picnic tables.

As usual we will be BBQing and contributions in the form of food, drinks, snacks are always welcome.

Don't bother with alternate spots. That's the best lot and it's easy to find. I will try to be there cause it's local (you know me ). I doubt I will have a car by then. If you see a silver altima coming that's me

Both of the car shows I was planning on attending that day are no longer on my schedule. One was a "display only", and I hear the other one you have to drive around a slow rice-box to win.

saturday sounds better to me,i will see whats up at my job,because i just got back from vaca.so money tight, but i want to go! but alternative spot sound better because i would like to bring my kids!

 

just saw rotorfest video,ok, thought it was longer, but not bad ,saw it on youtube, couldn't get off forum. need to do it again maybe early sat. morning aug.11 before meet get a group just for video like at day break!530am

I cant do the Sat meets because I work from 9-6 on Sat's.

Yeah Sundays are so much better for me, it's so easy for me to take a Sunday off. Saturdays are extremely difficult...
