The Fourth NYRA meet will be on Sunday July 22nd, 2007 at Heckscher State Park in Suffolk County Long Island. Heckscher State Park has millions of visitors every year helping the park obtain its status as one of the top 100 parks to visit in the United States. The park contains hikinig trails, bike paths, and even a swimming pool complex. There are picnic areas with shade and large parking areas. Since this is a State park like bear mountain there is a cover charge of $6 per vehicle (not per person).

The time will be announced shortly depending on the outcome of my visit this week to the park.

Directions will also be posted shortly but there really very simple.

Take Cross island or I-495 to Southern State Parkway. Take that till the Southern State ends and follow signs for the park, badda bing baddda boom.

We can make this the replacement event for Rotorfest. Our meets average between 50-70 cars per event.

Park charges $6 per vehicle, we have trees, benches, we can BBQ (everyone chips in and we eat as a family), they have other amnemities.

So hope to see everyone there. NY, NJ, CT, MA, NH, PA, MD everyone is more than welcome to come =)

ahhh your right nyt, u got it. Well theres a lot of rotary heads out there by you guys they never want to come out to NYC so this way they ahve no choice but to come or else we know there just flakers.

Im very excited, will be going up there either tomorrow or sometime this week to scope it out.

You dont have to go through the city. I used to live in Hyde Park. 84 to 684 to 95 to the throgs neck to 495 and then your there..... I think thats the right way.

Just drive MADDSLOW and you will be fine.

i'm in. i don't know if some guys would want to meet valley stream state park and head out from there. just an idea.

 

I'll try to make it and drive my FD from Rochester to NYC.....Maddslow just drive slow...

 

theres like a rest stop by like 14 or 15 on the southern state which i think would be easier to meet up at. its like a parkin lot type of thing with phones n soda machines. just an idea.

 

Valley stream is off of the SOuthern STate by Exit 15, i know the area my girls famz lives right there on North Corona. If you want you can wait on the highway (i guess if theres adequate room) and i can give you a call when we are around the exit so you will be expecting us

Okay guys i just posted directions on how to get to the park in LI

It took me about 45 minutes to do, so please check it out and see if that helps you guys out. I put the directions more or less form queens cuz your not going to get to LI without coming into queens.

I did it from North, Central and South Queens so i think i got it pretty much covered.
