NYC RR Meet - June 25th @ Flushing Meadows!

Hey Everyone,

NYC RR is at it again with yet another meet at Flushing Meadows Park (the same spot as the last meet). This meet is set for Sunday June 25th @ 12pm.

We want to show that Rotary Owners know how to represent. Our last meet was fantastic we had an enormous turnout of FB's, FC's, and FD's and not to forget the R2. I thank the guys for driving down from Upstate.

This time we want all that attended the meet last time to spread the word and invite as much of their rotary friends as possible. We would like to show that NYC can represent as much as Cali or any other state.

Our last meet left us with an abundance of bread, hot dogs, hamburgers, and not to mention chips. I will be bringing most of the un-opened snacks back to the next meet along with the residue soda. I would appreciate if individuals could speak up with what they are bringing so that we can work around that and have more of a variety this time...

I do thank everyone that brought something to contribute to the last meet as it was beneficial to everyone that attended.

We will be meeting at the pre meet up spot which is between 110-111 street on Astoria Boulevard. This is right in front of "Enterprise Rent A Car" cant miss it.

The pre meet up time is set up for 11am-11:45am. We will arrive there and wait for as much Rotaries until 11:45 then we depart. After that you can meet us up at the park meet spot which is not that far away.

If you are coming and are running late, give us a call so that we can reserve a parking spot for you.

I am listing my phone # and I am pretty sure that everyone has Jason's number by now.. lol

Anil - (518) 338-7187

I hope that we have more of a larger turnout for this meet and I look forward to seeing everyone there.

Regards,

Anil (88 Vert)

June 25th Meet

Hey Val,

Great to meet you online.

It would be great to do a caravan out to a park out in LI. If you would like to work on a date for this with me I can start spreading the word with everyone that attends the June 25th Meet.

Honestly, Sunday's are the only day that we can get more rotary population up and out as we all have responsibilities and things to do. I would love to change the date to cater to you coming up but we would not have as many RX-7's attending.

It's great to hear that you grew up in Queens.

Feel free to give me a call anytime u want. I will be working on getting our club into the legit status this summer as time permits so that we can be recognized as an actual club with members and moderators.

I would like to set up a date in the early part of July for the caravan out to LI as we will all be planning to attend Rotorfest in NJ to show our club spirit and most of our guys want to keep their schedule clear for rotorfest. If we hold the caravan out to LI meet in the early part of July the guys will still have time to get their cars in running condition for the Rotorfest trek.

I am hosting a meet in the upstate reigon of Lake George this weekend to meet the individuals in Upstate NY and keep them in the loop as our club family grows. We have to cater to other individuals driving the extra mile to come to our meets, so its only fair that we go the extra mile to somewhere near their home towns for a meet.

And finally, its nice to meet another Vert Owner that can relate to owning a car that leaks every time it rains....

Please do not forget Jason and Tommy who are another two key players in getting people together and organizing for the meets. We have to sympathize for tommy as he is presently without a RX-7 due to idiots driving on the NYC streets. We will remedy the situation soon and have him in a 7.

Regards,

- Anil Singh (88 Vert)

Yeah the meet was kinda decided by 87% of those that atteneded. We sat down and discussed a good location and date and the general consensus was to hold it at the same location.

I will give up directions once again and more info for those planning to come.

Yo wassup Jason....

I will contribute some of the music to your cause... aight. I got some tunes that got a mix of everything to cater to the masses and the multitude of fellow Rotorheads.

My suggestion with the boom box is to hook it up to an inverter ... i bought one out here at Brandsmart for $25.00 made by Belkin and Anil has one as he told me last night when we talked. Some of my music is Christian Reggaeton and Rock but you wouldnt even notice it unless you really paid close attention and knew it was Todd Agnew and Triple Seven. Neways... I got mainstream stuff also so you will be ok.

Give me an address to soflarxclub@yahoo.com and i will send it via UPS Ground. When you get a chance talk to Anil and he will tell you what we discussed last night, i think it will interest you.

With respect to Function7.. I spoke to Eric ? over at their location on Saturday and somehow they were not aware of their shinding happenin the same day.. but they said they had their wheels in motion and no turnin back. I noticed the drama that has risen... but you know I have had my fair share of drama and sibling rivalry .. East Coast .. West Coast **** between the RX8's and RX7's. We had a Parade Lap at Homestead Miami Speedway before the start of the main race and it was beautiful.. One in my 7 crew did a donut (360) on the track and one of the old fogeys in an RX8 complained about it. I understand my people needed to behave for the interest of the many so we could do this again in the future. We had 34 rotaries on the track that day. The **** got worse when the 8 crew posted some evil **** calling the 7's a bunch of kids and such and then vice versa.. ... This **** went on for about a month and it wasnt pretty.

Ultimately I approached the 8's on their own forum page and we decided to Squash this ****.. we called a truce and smoked the Peace pipe. I wrote a formal apology and posted on their forum because i too had bashed one of their 8 owners for being at a Mazda 6 Piston meet. We agreed to support each other at future venues for politics sake to keep the peace. They pretty much do their own thing and we keep to ours. I am attending Mazdasummerpaloosa on July 22nd in Tampa with all my 3 clubs in Florida and they will be there... we will shake hands and move on. Gotta keep the peace and squash all that negative ****.

They dissed you ... yeah i read it.. I'm from Queens too so I took offense to it also... so they need to step up to the plate and just squash the **** and apologize and just shake hands on it and press forward. After all we are all rotorheads.. its just my suggestion because honestly there shouldn't be any animosity and bad blood amongst the rotarians.

Be well and be blessed,

Val

YO whats good Val, Just to comment on something you touched on

Well i am kinda upset cause we all are into rotaries. But when you throw the first punch i aint gonna back down. YOu came onto our post poppin **** you better ******* apologize, to me and eveyrone else you offended that attended the meet.

Now im not taking this as NYC RR against Function7, cuase i dunno this dude from nothing. He most likely doesnt represent funciton 7. SO as of now my beef is with that dude not with the shop.

I gave my members the option to go to either location, 25 said FMP and 2 said F7. So majority rules.

Once that was posted ppl was having a problem with us holding our meet which we had posted way before anyone else. Even if there shop was planning to have there grand opening they shoulda posted something up a month in advance. WHen they handed out fliers at our May 14th event the fliers should of had there Grand Opening date on the flier.

I aint beefing with any shop, just with the comment of someone who i dont know.

Yo I with you Jason...

this one ***** that instigated the **** needs to step up to the plate and be a man and apologise.. he dont understand that the need of the few (one person) does not outweigh the needs of the many.

Lets see if he will do just dat...

Hey i think we should get an early start on the Food & Items needed for the upcoming rotary meet.

So first lets list all the items that we would want to bring and then we will decide who brings what.
