Just to review whats going to go down for the 2006 Rotorfest Caravan.

Bronx / Manhattan/ Brooklyn /Queens / Staten Island
Nassau / Suffolk County

Rotorfest Caravan meet will be located on Spring Street 1 block from the HOLLAND TUNNEL. We will meet up there by 8:00am and stay till about 8:45am. We will then go to NJ (where the NJ heads will be ALREADY waiting by MOBILE gas station/DUnken Donuts Parking Lot). We will leave no later than 9:15am (45 minute drive to exit 48 off Route 80). We will then arrive at 10:00am sharp at the RX-8 Club NJ location where the MA/RI/CT guys will be. Therefore our 3 caravans will meet up and we can hang out for 15 minutes and meet one another, then we can depart in a monster caravan to Rotorfest. I beleive Rotorfest starts at 11:00am, We will be there when they just open and will be first to arrive.

FINAL SCHEDULE:

1. NY Meeting on WASHINGTON STREET, between W Houston and Spring Street. From this street we can easily get to the HOLLAND TUNNEL (make a left on spring st and a right on varick). This street has factories and is always dead, and very big to accomodate our cars.



2. Be there at 8:00am Sharp.

3. 8:30-8:45am we will be leaving to meet the NJ Caravan at the Basking Robins/Dunken Donuts &Parking Lot (if the parking lot is too full park next to the gas station). Here we can get coffee and donuts and supplies for the trip.

4. 9:00am-9:15am we will be leaving the dunken donut/ gas station area and go to ROTORFEST.

WHo ever is not there on time, will have to catch up (you know thats an excuse to test ure car on the roads). We cant wait for you.....so yo go to sleep extra early the night before, just in case you want to clean your cars , bone ya girl , or just get out the grouchy mood.

I think we should get each others numbers so we can contact eachother just in case someone is behind we can tell them exactly where we are.

REMINDER: NY Side 8am....845am we leave to meet up with NJ people.

Leave NJ the latest 9:15am, so anyone who cant meet up with us at 845am by the holland tunnel, go straight thru the tunnel and catch us by the NJ side.

REMINDER2: New york people, meet up on Washington Street which is located between W. Houston and Spring Street. Its a empty street that can accomodate our cars with no one bothering us.

From this street u make a left on spring street and on Varick STreet we make a right and it leads you directly into the TUNNEL. This is the best spot so we will see everyone there at 8am so get tehre 15minutes early to wait for everyone until 830am no waiting sorry iight. We cant keep our counterpartrs on NJ waiting.

REMINDER3: You Jerseys guys meet up by gas station and Basking RObins/ Dunken Donuts parking lot or since ya live there anywhere else close to the holland that can accomodate all our sevens. Cause i know people would like to stop and pick up some supplies such as Water, candy, donuts, coffee or hookers. US NY guys will have enuf time to run and get what we need before we set off on our trip.

REMINDER4: We all have to agree on the way in which we are going to go there. There are multiple ways to get there. IM sure everyone got mapquest or Microsoft Streets direction. So lets agree now that we have more than a week. SInce u jersey guys live there, maybe you guys have some suggestions based on traffic and what not or cops routes so if some people want to play we dont have to worry.

We will link up at exit 48 off of route 80 with the RX-8 caravan..

Nope, not my number , i wont be picking up any numbers that are not on my phone book. We just had a meet and i stayed on the phone for almost the entire time directing people. Dont leave your house without directions, if you need a lil guidance cuz you got lost in an area your not familiar with then ill help you if not im sorry its tiresome.

Just have them meet you where ever ure meeting or on the NJ side by holland and well link up there . okay

hey, we can meet at the a&p parking lot on the jersey side, there's a lot more room, close gas stations and people can get food and stuff. let me know if you want to meet there.

 

80W at 9:30 should be very clear for most of the way... the only area im a little concerned about is right after the tunnel, since that always seems to be clogged with the worst drivers, none of which know where they are going. The dunkin donuts parking lot may be a little close to all that madness, so i second the A&P parking lot idea. Other than that, sounds great, ill be there waitin

hahahh, you funny directions (Mapquest ). Well last time the Holland tunnel spot was good we met a few of you jerzee guys there. Ima bring the navy just in case, cuz jerzee transportation system sucks (Im doing Civil Engineering concentrating on Transportation).

TO NYC CARAVAN

From Upstate/Yonkers:
1) Take Henry Hudson to West Side Highway (9A)
2) Left on Clarkson Street
3) Right on Washington
4) Between Houston and Spring Street

From Long Island/ Queens
1) LIE/Midtown Tunnel (495) or AnyBridge that will get you into the City.
2) Take FDR from any direction to Houston Street. Follow Houston to the West Side of Manhattan
3) Make a left on Washington Street

Thats pretty much it for NY

Time Schedule: Since Rotorfest is gonna be at 12:00Noon this year

1) Meet up on Washington Street 8:00AM-8:15AM
2) Depart Into Holland Tunnel at 8:45-9:00AM
3) Link up by Mobile Gas Station/Dunken Donuts at 9:00-9:15AM
4) Depart Holland Tunnel area on NJ side to meet up with Chrism on Route 80.
5) Get on I-95 Going North
6) Get on Route 80 going west to exit 48
7) Then continue on Route 80 to exit 19
8) Make a left at bottom of ramp onto 517 south
9) Then make a right onto Route 46 and Look for Canonball GoGo's
