It's not **** talking if it's true. This thread is about tried and true tuners not just a list of tuners. Opinions and experiences matter. I'd personally love to see more rotary shops and tuners around but not if that means we are going to see more people receive bad service. When I first got my FD, I was very lucky in that the seller suggested a good rotary shop to examine the car before I bought. I'd hate to think of what would have happened if we went somewhere that was bad.

Very true about the dead horse.

While it would be nice to post only first hand experience, I have disagree on that. So many people don't bother posting because they don't want to burn bridges, are intimidated or don't care about the next guy that might get screwed. If I know someone well enough and trust their word, I'll speak up. Just like if a friend asked you about a shop. If you have friends that went there that got screwed over but you didn't, wouldn't you mention their experiences?

I would say it is was probably out of character, but lets face it we hear about a unhappy customer from even the most trusted of shops.

I dont take the word of someone who just says "hey joe blow fucked my car up", I want to know details from the person and could care less what other people "heard" because its like that game telephone the story gets blown out of proportion and exaggerated each time its passed on.

I agree. Details are very important. Sometimes the person complaining could be the unreasonable one. We should always take everything we here with a grain of salt, especially if we don't know the person well.

KDR now has a new fabricator/tuner (TitaniumTT on the forum and "other" forum), who is a great guy and has been doing all my welding for over a year now. He can build anything and tune anything, and just loves RX7's.

I think this really takes KDR to the next level, I'll be going there for my tune in the early spring.

I also like IRP, they've never worked on my car, as I do it myself, but if something came up and I couldn't do it myself, I'd either send it to KDR or IRP.

I wouldn't recommend Enzo or TnR to anyone.

I recommended Enzo to a close friend for a few fixes and a tune and the car just ended up sitting there for a few weeks without anything getting done, and communication wasn't great, so we finally just took the car back without getting any work done.

I went to TnR and they had FD's just sitting out on a busy street, no way would I ever leave my car there overnight. A good shop always has a secure place for it's customers' cars.

I hear ya on the communication. Unfortunately, Enzo is a one man show and he only seems to answers his phone in the morning. I never had the experience you had because I only went in for a tune and it was done that day but the next time I recommend him and someone needs work, I'll mention what you said. Having said that, I've had both my cars just sitting at shops like that as well. It isn't a great feeling . I guess it's worse if you could work on the car yourself.

This is a thread. Everyone is talking to everyone. **** talking? Do you mean people posting about their experiences? That's what this thread is for. Maybe I will stop by TnR but based on things I've also seen for myself, maybe not who knows. Yea I hear alot about other shops too. Good things usually. Sometimes bad but mostly good.

Also dude, everyone else is taking the time to make their posts nice you should to.

Can Anyone help be get a basemap for my turbo 2. It is on a V500 Wolf. I contacted Waynespeed but it seems like he is not interested in helping with a simple base map since I did not get my wolf from him. Sent text, email and a phone call with no response.

Just had a full rebuild and street port done at Rotary Performance at Summit Point Raceway. I'm in the process of re-installation, but real great group of guys. Treat you well and quick turnaround.

FYI I recently bumped into Barry Primus of Primespeed Racing and he has since opened up shop in Danvers, MA.

Just thought I'd pass along the info since there were some of you that were looking for him.

Ok I live in Brick, NJ. Where should I take my car for a tune with an AEM EMS? The motor is new so I probably need to break it in but the current map is not very streetable. Tired of seeing it sitting around and want to drive the car!

I just had a tune with Enzo again!! And just like last time he helped me out with everything and tuned my car perfect! I made 600whp on 24psi. And he spend the extra time to make it perfect. I have never had a problem with Enzo tuning. I've. Even tuned by him every setup I've had and I would and still do recommend to anyone who's patient enough to be sure it's done right!

Trying to dig through the 3 pages getting an over view of the closest tuners was a pain. To save a headache for others, spent a few minutes and built a map. If I missed any shoot me a PM with the info and I'll add them ... Enjoy:

Brian at Speed1 (speed1allentown.com) just retuned my car today after another tuner did a poor job. I've owned 3 FDs, and gotten them tuned 7 times by 4 tuners. Brian is by far the best I've worked with. Besides being knowledgeable, he took his time (3 hours), and did over 25 pulls at every boost/load combo to get everything just right. He got 20 more peak horse power, and 40 more horse power at lower RPMs out of my "tuned" car. The car felt amazing on the drive home.

Mustang Mike in Long Island. All around good guy, KNOW HIS SH*T and can make power on anything that can be tuned. He built and tuned my FD. Runs better than my newer car from the factory! His rates are extremely fair, he treats your car like his own.
