Non Car Related - Hotels In NYC

Can anyone recommend a decent hotel in New York. Little bit of shopping and sight seeing.

I am coming over for Sevenstock, and plan to fly back to the UK from JFK.

Looking for something with a sensilbe price from the 20th to 23rd October.

suggest u go online with hotels.com or expedia How would you answer if we reversed the question and I asked whether u can recommend a decent hotel in London?
