NEED HELP!! Engine wont Idle

Alright well after 6 months of toying around and working on my 1988 Turbo Rx-7, I finally got it to run. Thanks to all those that have helped in the process. Special thanks to Jason Garrell(Tofuball), Brian(Yearghh), and Theo(Pele) for all ur help! Well the issue is as follows.

I start the car up after unflooding it, and it starts up, loud because it has no exhaust but back to the point. So when I start it up it idles at 2k RPM, then if I dont give it some gas, it will drop out of the RPM's and just die... Dont know what the issue is but it happens repeatedly. I would say I have tried everything but really dont know where to start to fix this issue b/c I lack enough knowledge about the rotary engine to figure out what the issue is.

Well I guess what I am trying to say is if u have had a similar issue and know how to remedy the situation, please let me know. If u would like to come and help me remedy the situation in person, you are more than welcome to come help. And usually for those that come out their way, I treat to dinner =). Well once again Please help to get my Rx-7 to be road ready. Thanks for your time.

Saheed

PS. Jason, i u happen to read this, Call me. Also what are you doing tomorrow? Can you come help with the car tomorrow? Once again call me =). Later

Every engine has some sort of cold start mechanism...

As it turns out that cold air is more dense than hot air...

That is if you have 1 gallon of cold air, there is more air in that than one gallon of hot air... (By weight... The hot air will be lighter.)

Anyhow...

To match that, the car will enrichen the mixture. More air means you need more fuel.

Of course this gets to be too inefficient, so they use a system to rev the engine up to warm it up faster.

On the S4, they use the thermowax and the BAC valve IIRC... I'd check connections to those. Vacuum lines and electrical...

I've also seen idle problems in cars that have an air bubble in the coolant line to the Thermowax. I'd try and see if there are any sort of air bubbles in there.
