Massillon, isnt that the "home of the tiger"? I'm also too far away (cincy). But we are all here for for you if you have any Q's.

I played football for Marion Harding in 2001 we played massillon in the playoffs beating them. Their fans threw bottles at us and the ref got knocked out by a fan. I lost a lot of respect for that team after that. I live in Marion, Delaware area if you want to check out a FD

I work in millersburg, it's just a little south of you if you wanted to cruise down and check out my FC (thats for a second gen rx7) or if you go to the atwood lake fall festival car show this sunday i'm planning on being there with a few other rotaries from around here.

the car i got my eye on now is a second gen, i just need the money and am currently jobless.....so that isnt helping....something ive been tossing around in my head, should i go step by step on the car since itll be late in spring/early in summer before its done, or all at once. so far i want to rebuild it completely, put a manual on it (the one im lookin ats an auto), turbo it with a t3/t4, tien suspension, sparco interior, and im basically shooting for the general area of 500 horses, i just got to wait for the job hunt to go through, nobody wants to hire a college student.......

hopefully the car your looking at is a turbo, it's gonna take a lot of work and a lot of money to come up with a car pushing around 500 horses, i know even with my setup i'll be lucky to break 400 and i have close to 5 grand in the power parts (engine, turbo, exhaust, injectors, ecu, etc..) thats not including brakes, clutch, wheels, tires, price of the car, roll cage, gauges, and gas
but hey, it's well worth it believe me and i'm sure anyone on here will be more than happy to help you out

im planing on going to the atwood car show, look for a silver 05 civic with a sound system (bout all its got going for it, i hate d17s) and all together im planning on putting approx 20-30,000 into the rx when i get it and doing minimum work to looks other than a body kit, sparco seats, and wheels, everything else is performance, suspension will be about 2k, brakes about the same, then the rest is engine and tranny, hope i can find a way to hit 500.......

whoa wait a min, is your name dustin? cause thas my name......

i think i figured how i want this to look, kinda like this:

http://www.dpccars.com/car-movies/09...Mazda-RX-7.htm

the hood for sure, then for the body kit

more than likely a gunmetal grey car, keep the carbon fiber hood and wing, the wing in the movie up there will be cf, that body kit almost looks like the one i want

you said that you are looking at a 2nd gen but the pic that you posted above^ is of a 3rd gen FD.
and just a heads up, it takes A LOT of maintenance and money to get into the 500hp range and stay in the 500hp range! make sure you do a lot of research to see what you will be getting yourself into owning a high horsepower rotary.

yea the third gens all came with flip up headlights, just like the second gens, you can however put a body kit on either one and get rid of the pop up's, i don't know why, pop-up's rock!

In fact all RX7s have flip up headlamps. Try finding an FB 1st Gen for a DD, they are very reliable and get 23 mpg when tuned right.

active rotary site for Ohioans at http://www.ohiorotaries.com , FYI
