Moving to VA

Hello All, I will be moving to the Arlington area soon. Just waiting on Branch to issue me orders. How is the drive in that area for an RX7? any good places near by that can tune my Rex with many mods?

The 'drive' in this area sucks. Way too many idiots on the road that aren't looking for such a small car. Keep your foot hovering over the brake, pay attention, and workout your clutch foot for all the traffic.

As soon as you drive a half hour out of the city there are a lot of good roads to cruise on though. Also, if you get out near the mountains there are some really fun ones. Make sure to stop by some meets when you get here

Oh, and for tuning you might as well go up to Speed1 in PA or PFS in MD.

Welcome to the area. The drive here is not very fun. If it wasn't for the mass of traffic then it wouldn't really be a problem. But like the other guy said, as soon as you get half an hour outside the busy streets it can be a lot of fun.

Welcome to the area. And if you haven't driven around here (NoVA) before-- don't speed

its going to be hard not to speed coming from germany (no speed limits) back to the states, but im sure after 4 or 5 speeding tickets i will learn. hopefully not, having a 7 is expensive enough. i will be looking for the next meet if there is one in the area when i get there.

Do your best, they are pretty brutal in Va about speeding. Anything over 80, regardless is reckless driving(even when the speed limit is 70 mph). In Va reckless by speed is a Class One Misdemeanor (the same as a DUI/DWI). With a conviction comes pretty steep consequences. You can serve jail time, get hit with a heavy fine, and loose your license. Be careful out there.
