modded 7's and emmissions?

for those who have modded are you still emissions legal? if not what did you do?

what mods are you allowed to run without failing emissions?

When testing time comes around I switch out my midpipe for a cat and hook up an electric air pump out of a c5 corvette. Turn on the pump while the car is on the dyno and it passes every time.

I have a ported motor with no cats, no air pump.

PM me if you want some more info/how to

They let me do the idle test because I told them it had a heavy clutch and was hard to drive. I poured a bottle of fuel line antifreeze (denatured alcohol) in about 1/4 tank of 93 octane. I hide my laptop under my jacket and right before the test pulled all the fuel out of the bars used for vacuum from 1.5-3k rpm. It was running like 18/20:1 and running just enough to keep running. I passed emissions with a ported motor and no cats. Pulled over in the parking lot and switched back to my real map.

How is it a pointless post?

The thread was asking, "what did you do?"

And i said what i did.

IT never said, "post up a place that can hook me up".

Cause if so, for 1: This thread would have been locked, as im surprised its not already because these threads arent allowed on this forum. And 2: I wouldnt have posted in this thread if that was the question.

I'm registered in an emissions free county as being "garaged" there.

Theres a 3k and a 5k mile/year option.

FD's are already in that program. You have to enter the car as an "exotic".

I havent completed a 3k/year drive on my FD since i bought it.

Basically the car comes out on nice days. No rain, no snow.

With my job, its hard to even take it out WHEN its nice so that limits my mileage to basically nothing.

When i go take the car out, its short highway cruises, or to the tuesday meets which is 3 miles from my house. Or city driving to my job which is also about 5 miles away.

There is no need for me to take a 100 mile trip or anything in the FD. I have another car to tack on the miles.
