haha I was just at bamboozle fest at the meadowlands and I was thinking to myself man this parking lot would be AWESOME for a drift event. I won't be able to make it, but it sounds awesome!

So whose going? Is it just autox or a drift event too? If both I'll bring an extra set of tires for the rear

Cool, I'll be there. Registered yesterday.

This will be my first auto-x though, so be nice.

I'll be there in a slightly banged up red S4, gunmetal wheels.

EDIT: How much does it cost, by the way?

cool.
i think its $30 for members, and $40 for non-members.
but its worth it to become a member because it costs $30 for membership.
with membership, you get 1 year subscription to Grassroots Motorsports magazine which totally rocks. and of course you save $10 per event as a member, so it pays for itself in 3 events. really it pays for itself in two more events after your first one as a member.

instructors are free so take one with you for your first session. get there early and walk the course. get there at 8am. bring sunscreen, chairs, cooler with food, snacks and drink. pump up air in front tires to like 40 lbs. empty your car of all junk. make sure your battery is securely tied down.

know your class before you arrive:

these mods bump you up a class or two:

have fun

i'm pissed about that.

sandro is bringing his red FD, and so is mike (1revin7) and mike's brother has a second gen i think and he's going. so that is 5 right there. not bad. and way more fun than a car show

its new this year but i think we're gonna change it so that it doesn't matter.
i don't think off road pipe(s) give enough of a gain to warrant that drastic a move.

yeah you did really great and your brother was right next to you.
R compounds take off between 1-2 seconds, depending on the course layout.
but you should do a few more autocrosses with your street tires because often, R compounds hide mistakes. you learn a lot more on street tires.
there is another autocross this sunday in bridgewater. you coming ?
