I wanted to drop in and say hello. I will be heading up to the Boston area for two years to get an MBA so I look forward to meeting you guys and coming out to some of the local meets.

Also, any ideas for a place to store my RX7? I'll be living in Cambridge, but can't afford to keep two cars in Cambridge so am looking for a place to store it someplace more affordable. Thanks guys.

Welcome to New England Victor. Sounds like you have a great lookin' FD.

Your best bet might be to rent a storage unit in the area for the RX-7.

When are you going to be up here?

Anyone interested in getting a F1 Boston meet thrown together over the next couple months?

Current plan is to head up around August. I'll take a look at the storage units, thanks. I hope the storage units are cheaper. One apartment building quoted me $225 for the first car and $150 for the second car. Hard to pay almost $400 each month just to park my two cars, especially because I will be a full time student come August.

I only know of people with the 80's fox body's I own a rs turbo try 4 eyed pride.
If it's a mustang based one that's ur best bet. If it's the German ones idk how to help.

Yeah When me and my co owner started to get parts ect we found out about the German ones that where imported in the 70s. They remind me a little of the old rx cars. There link mini muscle cars in look just alot shorter. The problem find them is the people who like them are like 1st gen guys they get like 5 of them to rebuild one since you can't get parts then they just junk the shell most of the time. Good luck finding one.

I almost sold my rx8 to buy another foxbody Capri since there so rare now adays too. I was going to make it rotary lol. Don't need a turbo inline 4 and a v8 Capri lol. If you find a cheap foxbody Capri let me know tho. Seems every one converts them to mustang front and rear or cut thE rear 1/4 out and use the fenders on there mustang for the look. I've found so many capris with the rear 1/4 cut out.

I'll keep a eye out for one for you. But I've never seen one in person. U mite want to go to kimballys farm. There like 8 Capri guys there allthe time. They mite be able to find one for you. They helped find a bubble hatch (cost us 1500$). The car cost 1000$ with tons of cancer. We bought it cause the car was a rare 84 rs turbo . The color was limited I think it was called black cat etc a werid charcoal with silver lower with orange pin stripe and rs badges. I get out of all the rs capris with the paint job less then 1/4 where the turbo rs.

andy- its a pleasant surprise to see you on here. sad news- i sold the wrx. good news- i replaced it with a FD RX7.

also- if anyone is looking for a FC project car i have an 87 GXL sitting in the garage gathering dust. the body/interior is in great shape. the motor is blown- previous owner told me the apex seals went. i never bothered to check as i was planning on pulling the motor. now that i have the FD i'm not expecting to have time to work on the FC.

Hey kevin! whats up? Sad to see the wrx go, but you replaced it with something much better! I will have to come check that thing out next time i am in the area. Are you still living in leominster?

I just picked up a street ported s4 motor with s5 housings yesterday down in NY, was never assembled, but everything came with it, including some aftermarket t4 manifold, and a greddy tb elbow. Just need fuel system and turbo....... and the rest of the drivetrain..... and alot of other things.

Anyone know of a place i can bring this motor to be pinned within new england? I dont want to pay to ship it, but i definitely want it pinned.

Can u guys help me find some pics since u seem to all be about subarus. If not pics some answers.
Do all the suspension point bolt to the sub frame minus the shock tower tops? Can any one measure from shock tower to shock tower like center of the shock retaining bolt(not sure what to call it. Do the a Axels come straight out of the trans or do they have joints so they angel forwards? Some pics would be great of the trans and suspension in the car minus motor. I'm giving him my adapter plate I got for some work I did to mount rotary motor to sub trans.

If it works out like where hopping well just bolt the sub frame in (mod it of course) and call it a day.
Or if the shock towers are way way different spacing cut the center of the sub frame out and make it bigger or smaller as needed and get custom Axels. If the motor is to far forwards we could do a few things. Well please help if u guys can.
Sorry I haven't checked this site in a while. I will take some pictures of the subie next time it is up on the lift.
The front axles do some straight out of the trans. So the engine does entirely sit in front of the front wheels.

Yes i mean extra dowel pins. The limit of the s4 turbo motors without extra pinning is like 450bhp.... I want MORE. haha. I cant seem to find anything on the sizes for the dowel pins either...

Kevin, pm me your phone number, i have it in my phone, but there are 2 kevins... i didnt realize that and i have no idea which is which.

I know its a long shot but does anyone have a spare fd windshield washer resivor and pump? I'm going to put in a bag style one to pass inspection but I'd like to do something less ghetto soon. I had the bag one laying around from my intercooler sprayer I took off the WRX before I sold it.

Want the rear pump and tank from my fc? its a smaller one so it wont weigh much. may work out pretty well.
