Try Dave at Enhanced Street Performance. They're like $65/hr and about an hour outside of Boston.

5 spots left. Rick, I PM'd you with Kathy's email address just in case you did not have it.
KC, the AE is deadly now that it is wrapped in Kumho's. One oil line to go and we'll be ready! We'll definitely blow her up at the National.

I started reading up on auto-x last night and the more I read, the more fun it looks... If I get enough money to do my suspension and exhaust like I want, and get a backup for when I break something, I think I'll start auto crossing.

It's rare that you'll break something AT an auto-x.
On top of that, you don't *need* suspension, exhaust, etc... to do it.
You can show up, and drive. If you're new, the less stuff on the car, the better. You'll be spending more time finding the course, and learning the car than knowing how to adjust your driving style for the different modifications you've made.

Well, my suspension and exhaust are both pretty shot as is. Hence the need to fix them. And I just assume that driving harder equals breaking something eventually, and I don't have a backup driver, yet.

Hey Rick, did I see you registered in SM2 in your Subie?
I got the top oil cooler line in today and no leaks! I also ran some logging sessions with the Rtek 2.0 to make sure that nothing is out of sorts. David and I have no excuse now except to rip it up (until the engine blows that is).
Hey Goofy, only one spot left so if you snooze you lose. Just do it. Worst case, walk home.

Christian, did you register for June 10/11?
KC - Don't forget, we're not going to be there this Sunday so I need the magnetic sheets shipped to me.
Good luck this Sunday guys. Rip it up. Oh and Christian, get there early and walk the course this time (several times). :-)

David/Shawn... yeah i am registered in SM2 on this Sunday. I am gonna get smoked, but im just racing my daily driver Legacy for points. im also gonna race for experience. i just found the standings from the april 29th event. i ended in dead last place. so this sunday ill probably end in last place again but ill hopefully learn a lot. i am entered for the 10th and 11th. my number plate says 937, but im gonna be racing my RX-7 under SM2 93 since i can only run 2 numbers. im rushing to get my car finished, but ill definately be there.
IMP, you still owe me a ride in the RX-8, and im gonna hold you to it this weekend if you are there.
hope to see you guys this weekend and the 10th and 11th. good luck to all prepping their cars for the event. take care and enjoi.
ill be fully ready, no excuses on the june 18th event. any mess ups will be my fault and not the rx-7s.

Good luck tomorrow Rick. Are you racing the RX-7 in SM2 for the June 10/11 event? I saw an entry which I thought was you but it had your Subie listed and not the RX-7. What about Christian? It looks like he'll be there tomorrow but I wonder if he made the cut for the June 10/11 event.
Anyway, just remember to drive it like your in slow motion, soft steering input, soft gas and brake. Better to actually finish the early runs and then just try to figure out where you can go faster, brake later etc.
Make KC give you that ride in his RX-8. When you do it, watch his hands and feet. Also, get him to ride with you when you take your first run too!
I'll be online in NH so I'll check in to this thread to see how it went.

i did enter the wrong car on the 10th and 11th. i mixed up registration with this weekends event with the nationals, and entered my subie instead of the rx-7. i will be racing my rx-7 on the 10th and 11th though, i just have to call paul, kathy, or the scca office and have them fix that. christian is going with me tomorrow, but im not sure if he ended up making it for the nationals. i took the legacy out for a spirited drive tonight, and its a whole nother car. too much understeer, but a significant amount of torque. kc also owns a subaru, so im sure a ride with him would help significantly. i am gonna be as observant as possible tommorrow and im giving myself enough time to walk the course and draw a map for me to study while im not racing so im not lost in a sea of cones again. good luck getting the car ready for the event. hope alls well with you and david.
