If he's not looking to get that sunroof deflector off of you, I need one.
Also, I have a little advice for that harness and light switch:
According to Icemark (RIP), that switch and harness like to burn out because of a cold solder joint inside the switch along with corrosion on the light sockets on the exterior of the vehicle. Replacing the parts is a temporary solution that may fail again.
I suggest adding a relay to the harness. I can help you out with that, or there's a writeup in the 2nd gen section.

It doesn't appear that he's the one who wanted it, I just can't remember who it was that asked for it months ago. I don't want it and just keep forgetting to take it out of there. So if I can't figure it out, you can have it.
As far as the headlights, yea I'm not surprised by it being a cold solder solder joint and it's definitely in the connector. If you play around enough with the connection, you can get the lights to come on (and the separate switch will raise them still). At one point I had headlights but no marker lights; a few weeks ago, my marker lights wouldn't turn off but the headlights would. I don't have the schematics of the switch (they may be in the 2nd gen section too) but when I find them I may just bypass the switch altogether and install a separate one. But for right NOW I need the lights to work because I have a couple more trips to Georgia scheduled and one of them begins tomorrow night. I've got about 24 hours to get them working at least temporarily and swapping the switch and rewiring a new plug is simple and quick enough to fit the bill. So we'll see what happens.

Ok well I was able to add a wire to the headlight switch and solder it directly to the pin on the board inside the switch, and connect the other end to the harness. So much for the pin inside the plug and it's pyromaniacal ways. Who needs to replace the whole switch?? lol

Hey, what's up guys! I'm pretty much new here, despite the join date. My name's Charlie and I have an 05 Impreza 2.5rs. Hopefully I'll also have an FD RX-7 one day
I really love the RX-7, it's my favorite car (presently my dream car as well haha) and I'm learning as much as I can about them before I get one.
Right now I'm in Ellicott City but I also go to UMBC. Any owners around this area?

Are you in the UMBC Car club???? I live in the Eldersburg area have a Second gen. There are a few people up here that have Rx7 and also in Columbia too. Pretty much all second gens though. We have meets monthly at Fuddruckers in Columbia. If you get a chance you should try to make it up to one.

Nah, I'm not a part of the UMBC car club, it's not really my scene (not big into drifting). I'm trying to get into AutoX but I haven't gone to one yet.
I'll definitely make it to the next Fuddruckers meet, even though my stomach won't like it haha.

If you want to start auto-x I suggest capital driving club they're very lax about everything and it's a great place to come if you're a beginner who wants to give it a try. I'm usually there at every event, but I won't be at the bowie one tomorrow.

Corrosion causes excess load on that switch and causes the contacts inside the switch to arc.

FD blew again, this is getting old. Then i take the engine out because i take it up to PFS and Ray says he dunno when he could get to it(next ice age) so i asked him if i took it out and brought it to him last monday if it would be done in a week, and Ray said no problem and now its 2 weeks and cant get in touch with them. Mind you the first time it was a side seal and had the FD back 3 days and it went, now i had 4000 miles and it went. Both times i was just driving normal and cruising and come to stop and starts miss firing. And this time sounds just like before and i looked in the housings through the exhasut ports for evidence and they looked good and the hot side of my turbo is not chipped so thinking its a chipped apex seal or another side seal. FD's suck.
