Myk is headed over right now to work on my GTU with me, I've got it really close to done. I just don't trust myself with the vacuum hoses :P
If the weather isn't too crazy tomorrow, expect me to be driving to Fuddrucker's in the GTU there for the first time!

Steve = srr. Emory, did you get your car back in time for Fudruckers? I was busy so I couldn't make it, but maybe next time. Given the rain, though, it was probably better that way. It saddens me to drive the 'vert if the top isn't down (as God intended it to be driven)

$200? I don't know what's actually wrong with it, but it actually did run. It just didn't seem to have much power, and had a hot-start problem. Then Kevin Landers advertised a "TII conversion kit", and the rest is history.

I have a Kevin Landers t2 swap in my vert and I have to tell you any problems were ever had were ecu-wiring-fuel injector wiring related. If I were you I would get a plug and play megasquirt (easy) or full on standalone haltech, mirotech (extremely difficult) so you can ditch that stock ecu and power robbing stock AFM flapper door

The engine is completely out of the car and waiting patiently for someone to do something with it. It's not exactly runable as it is, but you're more than welcome to look at it. Other than the tranny, which Emory has, I have the rest of the TII swap stuff too. So let me know if you need a TII to NA swap kit. I'm in the process of cleaning out my garage (I'm actually seeing concrete that I haven't seen in over a year), and when I'm finished, if I still have the engine, I'll probably just take it apart to see what's up.

I'm a computer geek with electronic inclinations being sucked into the world of high-speed automotive engineering, so the more control, the better. I even know which end of a soldering iron to hold , but I want to attack something that's do-able within a reasonable time frame for an enthusiastic, not unintelligent, trainable automotive novice like me. Something that would require a highly-trained Guru who's memorized the FSM would more than likely frustrate me.

For anyone who doesn't know, my FD has an aluminum LS1 V8 originally from a WS6 Trans Am, with a cam, intake and exhaust upgrades that basically makes it a Corvette motor on crack. Combine that info with the fact that I bought it as a half-stripped shell and have nowhere near enough time to do the work necessary to complete it, and you can probably picture "Franken-seven" in your mind
