yeah, PA's roads are by far the worst I've ever driven on... there used to be a stretch of 95 north towards Philly about 30 minutes before you get to Philly that was just pothole city... every time I've driven there, I need an alignment afterwards.

You can port a motor that has just been rebiult, but it is kinda a waste cuz you have to take it apart again
Almost anyone can do porting if you have a stencil, a die grinder, and a good bit. (RB sells stencils)

2 major screw-ups:
1) I forgot to tighten the fan back up with I was done changing the belts. Lost 3 of the 4 bolts. This meant that when I tried to start it on Monday, all that noise of the fan banging around scared me good and I turned the car off after about 10 seconds.
2) I changed the spark plugs. OK, except the old ones in the rear rotor were in backwards (leading plug was on top). I didn't realize that at the time, so I put the new front plugs in like the old back ones (WRONG) and the put the new back ones in the same way (also WRONG).
I fixed the fan (new bolts) and figured out that the plugs were wrong (and fixed that), but now the car won't turn over.
Can I bribe anybody with dinner and gas money to come up to Lutherville and help?
I'm sticking to computers.

Jason, can you help me with this?
Did I kill the rotors or anything by having the plugs in the wrong holes?
Any other ideas I can try? This is my daily driver and I need to get it up again if I haven't killed it.

No, having the plugs in the wrong holes on your car wont kill anything, especially for that short of a time. Are you sure the plug wires are going to the right places?

OK TRY AGAIN:
I'm pretty sure they're right. I know the leading/trailing igniters go to the leading/trailing plugs. what would be the effect if the front/rear was backwards?
(I'll check it against the FSM tonight).

At worst, it will not start. But it will not hurt anything. What is wrong with your car? What are the symptoms of the problem?

After doing all that, the car fired right up and ran great. I took it for a short drive (sunday eve). Monday morning was when I discovered the fan-bolt problem. Monday night got new bolts, but didn't try to start it. Tue Morning, it would crank but not start. I had only run it about 10 seconds on Monday morning.

If that fails we can have you do an ATF trick.
Your engine is heavily flooded.
