Hey everyone, there's hasn't been a lot going on lately with the MD Rx7 guys so I'm starting a thread for local weekly Cars & Coffee Meetups. I have a small group of eclectic car friends that try to roll to a meet every weekend and anyone that's free is invited to join us. We usually do a pre-meet to all link up and cruise in together. I've learned all the best backroads that lead to any of the final C&C spots below from our pre-meet spot. Feel free to meet us at one of the final locations listed below or at Hella's for the fun trip there too. Addresses are included below as well.

ALSO, I thought this would be a good thread to start for all Maryland Cars & Coffee meetups. If you know of any that I don't have mentioned here then please post them up and I'll add their information to this post for everyone's convenience. I've also made the same post on RX8Club and will update both weekly with the proposed meet for the upcoming weekend. Hopefully this results in some of us local Rotards making some new friends, having some good food, and making future plans for more meetups, BBQs, and fun cruises.

Hella's Restaurant - Meet up at 8:30-8:45
8498 Veterans Hwy., Millersville, MD 21108
Details: Serves as a local pre-meet spot for the group to meetup and cruise to the final destination. Convenient spot to meet due to some great backroads nearby that we take in route to final meets.

Saturday C&C Meets:

Hunt Valley C&C AKA Hunt Valley Horsepower - Every Saturday from 8:00-10:00
118 Shawan Rd.,Cockeysville, Maryland
Details: LARGE C&C. Usually 200+ cars are present sometimes more than double that number. All car types can be found in abundance and many car groups meetup and park next to each other.

Katie's C&C - Every Saturday from 6:00-9:00
760 Walker Rd., Great Falls, VA 22066
Details: Mid sized C&C. Has the most high end cars on average from historic and brand new Ferrari's and Mercedes to McLaren's and Nobles, to highly tuned track and drag cars and everything else you can think of. The earliest C&C in the area, but is 100% worth the trip. Kids are highly welcome and often get the chance to sit in Ferrari's and Lamborghini's due to owners being very friendly and accommodating.

Maple Lawn C&C - Sidomo Coffee - Every Saturday from 9:30/10-12:00
Arrive with cruising group at 9:30-10:00

Details: Small-Mid Sized C&C. Good mix of high end cars and JDM/Euro Tuner cars. Kids are welcome.

Sunday C&C Meets:

Timonium C&C - Every Sunday from 9:00-12:00
2020 York Rd, Lutherville Timonium, MD 21093
Details: Smaller C&C. Muscle, Euro &JDM present. Very friendly crowd. Kids are welcome.

Annapolis C&C - Every Sunday from 9:00-12:00
1 Dock St., Annapolis, MD 21401
Details: Has all levels of cars. Mid sized C&C. Exotic, historic, muscle, tuner and euro cars can be found here. Kids are welcome.

hunt valley is the closest to me and may go to that one instead...
possibly head out to hellas for the sunday meet also..

 

I work weekends for the most part, so my fd is usually out on Mon and Tues meets unless I take leave such as for ECRC coming up.

 

Hellas is just a meetup point that me and some of my friends use because it's local and then we head to one of the C&C meets from there. This Saturday A few of us will be going to the Hunt Valley one though and this Sunday I plan on going to the Annapolis one.

that stinks. What meets do you go to on Monday's and Tuesdays. I'm down to go out and hangout almost every night of the week lol. Any excuse to get out of the house is a good one for me.

Also updated the OP since info in it from last weekend's passed. Plan on starting to post pictures from meets here as well after meetups this upcoming weekend.

Pretty much just random or nonexistent meets, I follow Jennifer Mack on facebook which she puts out every day at 7am the meets around the dmv area. My car club is foreverlonelyfd.. lol

 

Yooooo I just found her thanks to you . Thanks man that's awesome. Looks like she's got a ton too. Does your car club have an actual name?

I've got a pretty good sized and well spread out crew and every once in a while we all meet up. Seems to be very few social rotaries in the DMV are in general. I have 2-3 friends in the area with FDs. None with FBs or FCs. And I've got an RX8(because backseat fits recaro car seat). But know of no one else with one and have only seen maybe 3 on the road since I've owned it in the last 3 months lol. I keep spying the classified here and almost pulling the trigger, but no FD yet. I will have one come next year after my wedding with 100% though, because then I'll have no further excuses lol.

 

Just another update for any that are interested in coming out tomorrow that aren't going to ECRC.

My group will be meeting at Hella's at 730. We'll be leaving Hella's by 745 and should arriving at Hunt Valley C&C by 830 at the latest.

For Sunday we'll be meeting at Hella's at 830, leaving at 845 and arriving in Annapolis at 915.

 

was able to squeeze the HVCnC this past Saturday before my trip out of town..
didnt see any rotaries there but mine.. got there at 8am and left around 930ish..

 

Hey man hope you enjoyed it. I was going to be there as well as one other guy but I woke up with food poisoning and spent the day by the toilet :/ The other guy was showed up later right around the time you left from my understanding. How often are you down here?

Let me know... I would like to get to this one again. I went to one early in the year.

 

We should organize an FD meet at Hunt Valley before the summer ends, or even early fall. I'm up there every few weekends with the FD, and there are a few that show up here and there. Let me know when you want to get up there and I'll see if I can make it.

Amp - I'm going to Gordon‘s Rotorhead BBQ on the 5th. Would be up for company on the drive. Live in Laurel, so planned on 95, but could go up 83 to Hunt Valley CnC, see some cars and people and caravan to PA if OK. Bill

 

I could do the 12th at hunt valley as long as the weather is good. I live in hanover PA

EDIT - The 12th is CBRDs open house and dyno day in York. I was going to go to this event. It a pretty cool facility and should be a good turnout. Let me know if any of you guys plan on going

 

How many people do we have going to Gordons from MD? I believe it's about a 3 hour drive for most of us if I'm not mistaken? I was considering it, and if ya'll don't mind and RX8 guy caravanning with you I'd be down to join. I just don't know if I want to make the drive on my own lol. I'll definitely have my son and fiancé with me if I go though.

Do we want to make have a meetup spot for us south of Bmore guys? I usually meet up at Hella's on Veterans Highway in Millersville on Saturday mornings with a few friends before going to Hunt Valley. We usually take a few backroads on the way up to 695 to have some fun.

providing weather conditions clear up for saturday..
ill be at hunt valley cnc early saturday morning till 10 to head out for gordons bbq..
may end up using the g37 for the hunt valley meet if wet weather in the morning... will pick up the fd after since its on the way to gordons..
if yall dont mind making a pitstop at my home since its on the way..

josh.. depending on what time the cbrd meet is on the 12th... might do hunt valley first then cbrd since its on the way back for me..

 

It looks like cbrd is 9 till 4 so I may do the same. I will touch base as we get closer

Yagîe - I'll be planning on meeting you and whomever else at Hellas between 7:30 and 8:00. If I'm not there by 8:00 sharp then something held me up and I'll he at Hunt Valley by 10:00 sure. Thanks, Bill
