MA MA Spring Install Meet/BBQ In Brighton

Well hello there boys and girls,

Its your friendly neighborhood Clavius! well the time has come for me to step up as it where and get us MA folks together for something beyond a small mini-meet. WarCrunk's father (of Rx8club) has been nice enough to allow us the use of his shop for a meet. He has 3 lifts and a rather large parking lot to hold us all and more really. I checked and double checked and we'll pretty much have full run of the shop durring the meet. So if your looking to have a set of shocks, springs a clutch installed come Spring, hold off till this meet.

We shall also be having a BBQ there. Details of this are as of yet not fully fleshed out but hotdogs and burgers are key and the possibility of a pig roast also hehe.

We shall also be having atleast to us on the Rx8club boards a mini-celeb (haha he hates that term) that of Charlse Ray Hill. He may possibly installing a Nitrous on a Rx-8 but if it falls through he'll be there to lend a hand and may have some of his Black Halo Racing Products to install to. He'll be coming down from ME after installing a Turbo for a fellow Rx8club member.

If anyone wishes to order any BHR Products I know he wont mind installing them while he's there.
http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?t=135070
Check it out and see if ya need anything (I am unsure if any of the parts he provides fit/work for the Rx-7's but I figured I'd still toss this out there)

So here is the info in a nutshell:
What: Install Meet and BBQ
Where: 500 Western Ave Brighton, MA
When: April 20th a Sunday
Who: You of course and other Mazda nutcases lol
Why: Because us MA and New England folk need a HUGE Meet like this.
Time: TBA (depending on how many people wish things installed it could be early)

Oh jesh just scare me why dont ya lol. Installations that can be done in a few hours time how is that for a addition.

The Time right now is unknown. Closer we get to the actual date it will be set. I'm thinking around 8am or so since we seem to have several requests for suspension installs.

This is just a install meet at a local service station. So its not a "Performance Shop". So its pretty much a Bring Your Own Parts kinda deal.

It's the last page ( we are in the 65 somethings now I think ) of the "Massachusett's Meet" thread that is always on the top of the page. It's like the MA/RI/NH/CT Lounge.

Hey guys just checking in to see how things are going on this side of the RotaryWorld. So far we have over 20 people coming to this meet and that isnt including tag along passengers. I'll be making a list soon of people who are doing installs and I guess on here atleast I'll be making a new post for it. Right now I've just been busy trying to get stuff set with buying a new house so I'm somewhat distracted at the moment.

I'll ask/make mention of this on this post though, if people have extra lifts or spring compressors bring 'em cause as it looks like we'll be needing 'em for the amount of people who wish to do suspension installs.

Also some of the 8 guys are tossing around the idea of dinner afterward but its just in the talking stages right now but figured I'd let you guys know about it.

Thats is all

If I buy a manual steering rack will they install it and give me an alignment on the cheap? That would be sweet.

short answer is yes andrew, i already asked on rx8 forum, i'm still kind of unclear if it costs anything for the install if we do it our selves though.

Info and Start Time

Hey guys checking in again.
Andrew they dont have a alignment machine at the shop (sadly) so they wont be able to do that. We do have 3 lifts to play around with so getting one set aside for this is a definate. If you do it yourself its free, if you say wish Ray to do it, it will be a few $$ not alot trust me Ray is by no means a swindler. As Chrism on 8club said

If you want clairification you should just sign up on 8club and send Ray a PM to sort out any details

Still surprised I havent seen the amount of interest for this like it has on the 8club. Guess I gotta build more rep on here

Oh and just incase I havent posted on this thread (to lazy atm to double check lol). Start time for this will be 9am as to ensure we get all the suspensions done that and any other mods that people usualy bring that are last minute.

Clavius, i think the reason there isn't as much interest over here is that 90% of us do the work on our cars ourselves. no offense the 8 guys i'm sure a lot of us will be there just without any work to be done.

Can I get a quote on a couple of jobs? How much to change pads, rotors, two calipers, and lines? And what about springs and shocks? Damn I hate not having tools, and just myself to work on this lol...
