Look What I Just Bought!!!
I just bought this 1995 Mazda RX-7 in TN and it's coming home soon to CT. This is my dream car and I am sure I will be running into a few of you guys at some rotarhead gatherings. The car has only 11,682 original miles on it!
Wish me luck!

Well the car has not gotten here yet. I am waiting to take delivery on it within the next two weeks. I know it has a racing beat exhaust and a set of BBS wheels. The former owner has a downpipe for it but I am not sure as to what kind. It is not installed yet. I know there is an intake on the car but the model I am not sure of. All I know is it is a virgin and needs some nice tasteful mods. I would love to get about 400-450 horses.

i recommend just the reliability mods (the downpipe is a really important one)
a car in that condition and of that rarity will get looks at shows without anyserious mods, and its actually worth more in near-stock condition

pretty good resource for 3gen reliability mods (haven't done any myself, becuase i own a 2nd gen)

That thing is pretty damn nice looking. Despite the low mileage, I recommend performing a full tuneup when you get the car. Spark plugs, wires, pcv, fuel filter, tranny/diff/coolant flush, oil change. You have to assume that the original fluids/parts are all in there.

Did the research and there were 50 chaste white FD's imported in 1995. I am jealous.
Guys...you need to enlighten me on the rotary world. I know I love the cars I just don't know about the gatherings and anything like that...good shop bad shop type stuff. Anyways, thanks for all the good wishes. I think I am going to read a while before I do anything though. I want to be able to pick up and go in this car and not have to worry about anything so the reliability will have to be there. But I also want some ponies under the hood. I would like 400rwhp but I want it done so the car can be driven when I want. Anyways...let me know about that Hooters meet!!
there is a rotary mechanic in connectcicut who i found is really good. he owns and built a 94 R2 and whenever i go to his shop he has 5+FD's. his name is jesse and his number is (860)978-2678. Vosko is setting up the hooters meet, so peek in every once in a while to look for it.
I gots more pictures!
Well here is the update. The truck left TN on Friday at 3:30 and is in route so I will have my car sooner than I thought! Anyways, I asked the gentleman for some more pictures to tide me over. I'll post them below. He also said he can't wait for me to call him and tell me what I think about the car in person. I guess when he and I finalized the deal and the car was taken off ebay he got a million calls and some seriously steap offers. Anyways, I can't wait to cruise with you guys and be enlightened in the world of the sLevens!
ok, looking at the above pics, the first thing you need to do is either get a boost controller or a Power FC. Looks like you have an intake, you said it has a downpipe, and it's got a racing beat single tip exhaust, which means that it might show a litle bit of boost spiking when driving it hard, which means it will run lean for the second it spikes (boost spiking is when the turbos transition from the first to the second, the normal boost pattern should be 10-8-10, but you may be seeing 10-12-10 or something like that). Running lean is an extremely bad thing for these cars. Save yourself the heartach and get a power fc or a boost controller as soon as you can. one place i can recommend is KDR in Pennsylvania as far as mod shops go. have fun with the car man, and remember, this is the diva of all cars, it's beautiful and makes your skin tingle when she sings, but you ignore her or treat you bad and she will make you pay in blood, for me in a couple of cases it was literally (cut up hands working on engine).
