CART is holding a track day/time trial at Lime Rock Park in CT on Thursday June 17th, I've never run with them before but I heard they are a pretty good group. I may be attending, anyone else thinking about going or would want to? Here is their site: http://www.cartct.com/time_trial.shtml.

What's the story with noise restrictions on Lime Rock?

 

That would be great, I'm looking at the July event as well. Noise restrictions have gotten stricter this year, 84db. I was black flagged with my silencer in so I'm working on a downturn now.

 

I was going to register for this event but somehow got talked into registering for an event this Monday at New Hampshire Motor Speedway's road course with COM. I am getting $100 back from the event because it is my first event with COM, so it just made sense to do it. Plus I don't need to take time off work (helping the opportunity cost.)

On a side note (and not to jack your thread Ryan) but I have a ticket to Lime Rock Mazda Corral this Monday Memorial Day for the Grand Am race if anyone wants to pick it up. I'd let it go cheap if anyone can make it.

Ryan- hopefully I'll see you at Monticello in August. Good luck with this event. I'll look into running the CART-CT July event.

 

Depending on when the event is in August I'll try and make it. I'm going away the 2nd week from the 7-14th but if its another week good chance I'll be there.

 

I'm thinking about signing up for this, any word on the noise restriction that Rich mentioned? I don't have a silencer.

 

It's only 84db unfortunately, you can email the organization and see if they had it raised to the normal (for the last few years) 89db.

 

Racetracks with noise restrictions are like prostitutes with chastity belts. I guess I'll stick to the bigger, newer, nicer tracks
