knocking sound front break?

So recently iv been hearing a strange clukting knocking types of sound as i speed up it speeds up. When i gently tap the break it stops. I took the car to a local shop an had them check my brake everything was road safe. He did say that that in side the brake harness the thin metal clamp that i think hold the pads together broke in the middle. Having said that its just hard to belive that it can make that much noise. I hope I explained my issue please let me know what you think. Happy new year congrats we made it!

if you have known brake issues you gotta fix em first. get rotors turned and either replace the pads or get the backing plate issue fixed. brakes can make all sorts of wierd noises so nothing is out of the question. my car makes a nasty knocking noise when i accel or decel and its coming from the sway bar bushings missing as the sway bar hits the frame. get under and take a look for anyitng loose and make sure your bearings are in good order.

sounds like knockback to me. do the brakes pulsate when you step on the pedal? knockback will happen when the rotor is so warped that its actually hitting the pads as youre going down the road and causing them to be pushed back. it will stop, but it could increase stopping distance if it pushes the pads back too far. its really annoying though.
