I will PM everyone my phone number before the event, that way you can call me in case you are running late. I understand there are a lot of people coming up from New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and one from Maryland for this event and that would be horrible if we left without you. Please try to get to the meeting point early though. I will most likely be at the Tilton Island Park for 10, so look for a all Black RX-7.

Things to Bring:
Your car in good working order.
A friend or 3 (depending on what vehicle you are bringing.)
Tools
Oil
Coolant (If need be. I always bring mine just in case.)
Water and other drinks
Snacks
Gas money
Food money
Map of Area
Print out of the Maps above, or at least the directions
Cell phone
Walkie Talkie

Rules:
I want this event to go off as smoothly as possible and I want all attendants to be as safe as possible. Responsible driving will be expected at all times. The roads we will be driving on will be open to the public, meaning there will be traffic going both ways. No cutting corners on the mountain roads.

You will get one warning if you are driving irresponsibly. The second notice will be a request to leave the cruise. I don't want to be a buzzkill, but i don't want anyone getting hurt. One irresponsible person could ruin a whole weekend for everyone.

Its kind of a common law, but please don't litter. What we take with us we will take out with us. The country is beautiful and we should try to preserve it as such.

No speeding, highway roads or back roads.

Have fun. We are here for that one thing. So lets make this a great event that we can hopefully make an annual occurrence.

T-shirts:

Price: $23. (The price to print one is $25, the price to print 5 is $24.40 each, the price to get 10 is $23.65 each, and so on. I Imagine we will get at least 10 requests, so I will set the price at $23. i am not going to make any money on this, but I will need to at least cover the costs to make them.)

T-shirts will be available for this cruise and you can either have them mailed to you or pick them up at the event.

Unfortunately i cannot front the money to print up a lot of different sizes, so you will have to prepay for them. I would prefer PayPal for payment, but will accept a Money order or Cashier's check.

If you would like a T-shirt please email me at ZumSpdRX7@yahoo.com with the title "Kancamagus T-Shirt" and include your name, t-shirt size, t-shirt quantity, preferred payment, PayPal account if applicable, way of picking it up (at event or mailed to you,) if mailed out please include an address for me to mail it to.

Thanks for helping make this happen. Lets try to make this the best event that we can.

I hope to see you all there. If you have any questions, feel free to email me at ZumSpdRX7@yahoo.com

All T-shirt purchasers will be entered into a Raffle for a Free Synaptic3 Dyno Run on their new dyno. One raffle ticket per t-shirt bought.
  • If you want to pick up a T-shirt at the event, I am going to have to have your order in by April 15th. Otherwise, i will have to mail it out to you.
  • If you want a T-shirt, email me at ZumSpdRX7@yahoo.com

There is going to be a raffle at the BBQ of various performance parts, courtesy of Synaptic3.
  • (I will have a list of the items being raffled off as soon as Synaptic3 compiles it.)

Synaptic3 will have their new dyno up and running for the event and you can purchase dyno runs at the event.
  • I will have the price of the dyno runs up as soon as i get it.
  • They have a set up on their dyno that will allow drag racing between two cars at the same time.
  • They are computer tuners of various softwares, but I am not sure if they will be doing dyno tunes or just runs. As soon as I know that info I will post it up.

I have a gentleman from RX-8Club helping me set this up. Today, he informed me that he had arranged to get a lot of goodies for giveaways at the meet with a former 8 member. Really good stuff.

here are the details:

Here is a preview of what I received:

The complete RX-7 and RX-8 books (hardcovers) by Jack Yamaguchi

Zoom Zoom Windshield Visors

Flashlights

Pens

Hats

Picnic Set

Model Mazda 6's (guess everyone needs a practical car... )

Thermos Set

Much More!!!

SPecial Thanks goes out to Kevin Lemire our Northern New England Mazda rep who helped make this happen.

Kevin is a former 8 owner but now has a Speed3 I believe. DISI Turbo Charged! I was trying to see if he could attend but I don't know if he will make it.

Thank you Kevin!

Looking forward to seeing all of you!

I think this is going to be a really great event, and between me, Ian, and the boys at Synaptic3 we are really trying our best to make this a great event for everyone. All we need are the attendees, so we would love to see you all up there! I know it's a little bit of a hike, but it will be worth it.

Any questions, comments, or suggestions, please don't hesitate to shoot them to me.

NOTICE

I spoke with Dana at Synaptic3 earlier today and we are going to postpone the cruise and the BBQ meet. As of right now, we are planning on having it on a weekend in July. I will post up the information once we settle on a date.

I will post up a new thread and have it stickied once we settle on the final plans.

The plan is staying the same with the times, meeting places, and route as of right now. The only thing we are planning on changine is the date.

i apologize for the inconvenience and hope to see you all at the event in July.

im sorry about that. i was looking forward to it as well, and considered keeping the condo. but the white mountains are a lot more fun when you can do outdoors things, so im going to get it again at some point in the summer. hopefully for when we reschedule this event. i might just stay where everyone else is staying next time, just to make it easier on myself with commuting time (as if that matters on a 180+ mile trip ).

would July work for you?

Hey i understand, weather looks iffy right now anyways. I told rob and brian (templton and 88gtu respectively) and they are fine, in fact happy its pushed out being most of the cars run but really should have some work done before they are taking on a weekend trip (we tore one of them apart today even)

July should work, i believe im camping the 4th in errol or somewhere around there but other than that i believe im free

Was the change due to weather? lack of intreast? synaptic3 or a combination of some?

it was due to the weather entirely. we had a good number of interested people, so it would have been fun. we should get a bit more interest as well by pushing it back a couple months. it definitely won't be July 4th weekend. Synaptic3 is going to continue to work with me in making this a great event.

Big bummer, i was looking foward to it. But all this extra time will help make my rx7 more daily driver friendly for the cruise!

I'm definitely still going.
