how small are we talking? 0-10 guage or 10-18 guage? on my car stock i had one wire about 4 guage that ran from the battery to the drivers strut tower and then to the back of the engine block... that was the only wire on my 88 vert that originally came to the car.... can you trace that wire cant be too hard

Its not too big about 12 ga or so...I figgered it was a chassis ground or something...it may clear up my intermittent electrical malfunctions that started when I replaced the cable a couple of years ago and did away with that wire...I just forgot where it went....

I redid mine, put a big one (2/0awg) to the block and a decent one (6ga?) to the body... that's all you need.

a lot of people have a wire such as that that goes to the coil next to the battery to just help with the grounding... hope that helps

I"VE BEEN TOLD THAT WHEN AN RX COMES OFF THE PRODUCTION LINE, THEY TEST THE ELECTRICAL FIELDS AND SOME REQUIRE AN EXTRA GROUND DUE TO VARYING RESISTANCE....SOME RX'S HAVE THEM AND SOME DONT...THEN SOME DUDES DO LIKE I DID AND WHEN I CHANGED BATTERY CABLES OR CUT OFF THE CONNECTER DID AWAY WITH THE SMALL GROUND WIRE, BUT MOST OF THEM COME WITH IT ....I'M BEING TOLD
