As promised a sneak peak of the REPU engine bay rebuild...
This is the engine bay with degreaser notice the right corner of the engine bay where the rust hole is...

Engine bay paint removal, notice the skill of lance's welding technique...

Metal prepped for POR15...

Engine bay and front chassis with POR15...

Next I have to prime it, sand it down smooth, and paint the engine bay blue

Full documentation and some videos will be available at our website. The website should be done in two weeks.
Thanks for your patience.

I just wanted to say that the event at the Toyota swap meet went really well for them. We didnt sell as many parts becuase, well you know it was mainly Toyota. I believe we are having a meeting this Saturday and we will be talking about setting up a Rotary parts meet. I think that the Rotary community needs this, especially the old school rotary community.
Let me know what you think. Non-members are welcome to comment.
thanks

Ken,
Your truck is coming along nicely. I like that you are doing it the right way. You are not cutting corners. Since your engine is out, you might as well do the whole engine bay the right way, like you are doing. Remember NO spray paint. LOL
Use a spray gun.
Let me know so I can stop by to take a look at the truck and the famous web site.
Also the parts meet is a good idea.

Thanks, it takes a lot of time and patience. I can tell you now that I am trying not to loose my patience. I want to finish this now. You know how we Americans are; we always want instant satisfaction.
I will be using a spray gun. We have some members that offered to let me use their compressor and gun.
I will let you know when to come over.
As far as the parts meet go I am going to try and get a parts run down from all the members.
