I need some fact/opinions on a FC 13b Carb setup
I have had an offer put before me for a trade on my 13bt setup for a brand new rebuilt 0 miles S4 block and was told about how sweet a carb setup can be on this block with the right parts and tuning. I wanted to see some of your setups (those of you who have a 13b carbed) and the number you can put down vs the money spent. I am putting myself on a limited time frame because I am getting ready to deploy again to Iraq and want to try to get this car up and running june/july time period.
My current setup is a used 13bt no aftermarket internals all stock might add in my FMIC 720cc and 1600cc injectors and aftermarket fuel rail to see if I can get extra parts from him so far all I will be getting that I know of is a rebuilt S4 short block
PLEASE give me some feed back and try to keep the whole carb vs turbo flaming to a minimun I just want my car to run again and so far the turbo built is not looking like it will be done before I go
Thanks

it sounds stupid...for one thing it sounds like your going from turbo and downgrading to n/a and second dispite what people tell you..there is a reason why the auto industry went to EFI
actually theres multiple reasons..no choke, you dont have to keep readjusting the carb for different heights if you travel...no need for constant adjustments in general, carbs have there limits...
efi is more accurate, and more efficient...besides its a dumptruck load easier to make power on turbo'ed cars then it is n/a...i mean just look at the hp differences from a stock s4 n/a to a stock turbo s4...
i dont know all the facts but from the way you wrote it, it seems like someones trying to screw you out of your t2 block
your better off rebuilding yours and port it in the proccess

nah I am not getting screwed and the power with mild tuning on a N/A is not bad. I am going to save the turbo build for when I get my FD after Iraq. I would like to try and go old school and tuning a carb is easier then tuning EFI I have grown up around big blocks so I know how to do proper jetting I just was looking for numbers but I have found some already
