I need to borrow a trailer in MD.

I'm going to NJ this saturday to pick up a jeep body for my restoration project and I need a small trailer to strap the jeep body to. I have a class 3 hitch on my truck with a 2 inch ball. It doesn't need to be a full car sled, just something smaller. Something bigger then 12 feet x 6 feet would be perfect. I'm willing to pick up and provide reimbursement of around 40-50 bucks, as that's the regular price from uhaul (except I don't feel like dealing with uhaul).

Thanks
-Mike

Will a 2 wheeled dolly work? I've got one that's in Laytonsville at the moment. Pick it up there, drop it off in one of a few places... (Back in Laytonsville, College Park, or Northern Virginia.)

Have 4 wire magnetic lights to attach to the vehicle in tow... 7 wire converter is around here somewhere...

4 pin.

are you talking about a car dolly? I don't think that's going to work.

Yeah, I'm talking about a two wheeled dolly. One pair of wheels from the toad goes on it, the other axle of the toad goes on the ground...

Why wouldn't it work? 4wd? Just set the transfer case to neutral or drop the driveshaft. Unless of course this jeep doesn't have axles under it yet.

Cause I'm just picking up the tub of the jeep, not an entire jeep. like... body off the frame and stuff.

Right... You're fucked.

Nah. There's a place down here in Manassas that'll rent you an enclosed trailer for like $50... Search this forum for "trailer"... I believe the post was made by "FDnewbie"
