HPDE at Pocono Raceway, anyone interested?

The event is being held twice. Once in July and Once in August. The dates are July 14-16 and August 19, 20. Anyone interested in going? I'm going with my Dad, it should be fun.

I don't understand the course configurations they are talking about. I would assume the long course is the 2.5 mile road course, but I don't know what "double infield" means. I know of the layouts as something like North, South, and East. what does that consist of?

Here is a map of the track. Your guess is as good as mine. I do see a "North Family Infield" on the track, though. They must be talking about that.

its the same event that PDA is doing:

http://www.pdadrivingschool.com/schedules/

nasa sold their HPDE's to PDA.
the friday 18th event is the "grand slam". there are 3 infields; north, south and east. you can drive all 3 of them all day long. you will get tons of seat time. its a great day. i did it last year.

the saturday 19th event is the "long course - double infield", going clockwise on above map, but using the infield on the south course, going on the front straight, then going into the north infield, then going on the back straight, and entering back into the south infield again.

the sunday 20th event is the "long course with single infield". i never did this one but i think its counter clockwise using the north infield.

**north course is on left side of that pic. south course is on right side of pic. east course is the little course at the top (right side of tunnel road).
